So I just switched to Necrolord from Night Fae and I’m stuck at 25 renown. I know the current renown max is like 36 so I just didn’t know if I was getting incredibly unlucky or if there’s some kind of hidden weekly cap on how much renown catchup you can do? I’ve completed the entire campaign (minus the first part which apparently is bugged and a GM will have to fix).
u gotta do quest line then do not torn in a maw quest , a anime quest , bc it will stopu the week
Are you doing the campaign quests?
You cant ignore them. Completing each one offers 1 renown.
I believe there are 9 of them. So if you have stopped receiving renown from random stuff then you have that plus the collect 1k anima and x # of souls from the maw to cap
The catchup mechanic is RNG based, no one really knows for sure how it works, I just swapped over recently and trying to catch up has been a pain for sure
Sometimes the callings give renown, sometimes they don’t, sometimes you get renown from winning BG, or doing a dungeon, sometimes you don’t, it’s absolutely annoying as

I finished the campaign other than being stuck at 8/9 because the first part of the campaign doesn’t complete because of a known Necrolord bug. Every other part of the campaign is done including the final quest so those renown are done now. I actually was gettin a TON through LFR as I got 8 Renown off 10 bosses that’s why I was able to get to 25 so quickly. But now it’s stopped from any and all content which is why I was wondering if I got capped or something. But maybe it’s just good initial RNG into now bad RNG.
Sometimes you look at your calling quest, and for a brief moment it shows an emblem of renown as a reward, then the emblem disappears. I hate that.
My priest is still able to get some renown ranks even after I had done the full campaign and did the two weeklies.
She is at 33/36 though. Seems to slow down the closer you get to the current cap.
EDIT: She is now 34/36 after getting one from doing HoA on a mythic 0
This is not true. I have received multiple renown after handing these quests in on alts.
OP it is RNG. seems to be almost 100% from the world boss. at least 1 from a calling and then its random from pvp, raid bosses or dungeon bosses

I feel you having done dungeons for the last 2 days for hours on end and not getting a single renown is frustrating. I have been questioning if there is some sort of bug as well. The last 2 days my callings have not given renown either. I am stuck at 30. I have also done all weekly quests and covenant quests and killed the world boss.
I know back when I was farming renown there seemed to be a bug that stopped renown from appearing if you had already done your two weeklys. ((Maw + Anima)) Not sure if that is still the cased though.
