After shutting down WoW, the Bnet client has a nasty habbit of deciding it needs to show its face. I’d rather it not. Is there any way to stop this from happening?
There’s an option in battlenet settings to have it close after the game starts.
This isn’t about when WoW starts. This is about when WoW shuts down.
Right, but when it closes after the game starts, it doesn’t pop up when you close the game.
Never had that happen tbh, I do have it set to where it won’t pop up when my computer starts up, but that’s not your issue.
I see. I’d still rather it simply remain minimized. Ty for the tip.
Wait. No, nevermind. I’m a noob. I see the option now. It’s a checkbox that by default is not ticked. I ticked it and now it won’t show up after shutdown, which is exactly what I wanted.
The setting to shut bnet completely when starting a game will prevent it from popping back up when you close a game. If you have it set to minimized or anything else, when you close a game it will pop back up.
I just found the option that does, in fact, keep it minimized and stops it from popping back up
.
Well, thanks for posting, I just found that option too, didn’t know that was a thing until now.
With the new “reconnect” when you get disconnected for whatever reason, I have no need for the launcher to be up at all anymore.
So weird that I’m seeing this thread, I literally just yesterday changed my settings to keep it minimized during play and to pop back up after I close, so I can switch between Diablo and WoW easily. ![]()
