I have recently bought Master Riding but I believe I’ve made a mistake. It is too fast to immerse myself in leveling through Pandaria as I was before with Expert Riding.
I was just hoping to speed my flight up a tad bit more but 310% is way too fast. Maybe a 30 to 50% decrease toggle option would be a good addition if it’s not already available
Thanks Blizzard, enjoying playing through the storylines!
I sometimes wish there was a voluntary debuff we could activate that would temporarily slow our flight speed back down. It’s very tricky sometimes to land on a narrow branch for a treasure box or what have you at the fastest flying speed.
Not sure there is any downsides to adding an option like this either. Just a simple addition to the General Spell book for everyone or something like that
As nice as mount speed scaling is and the ability for any flying mount to be a fast one, I sometimes miss being able to mount up on a slower one and go at a slower pace. Ever since they introduced scaling, I’m not sure if there’s a way to purposely go slower.
It’s not a solution for other classes, but as a Monk, you have an ability you can get that allows you to fly slowly. It’s called Zen Flight. You can buy it at the Monk Class Hall (Either the one in Kun-Lai Summit or the one on the Wandering Isle).
it’s easier than you think. just do not mount up at all. you will be fully immersed by walking around the countryside smelling the flowers and killing the sheep.
I feel like making my character crack a whip in the air and exciting my mount to rush through the skies faster, lol — Super keen for Dragon Riding due to the speeds you can optionally reach!! (In some cases you can reach up to 620%)
I’ve never thought about slower flying; then again this Dracthyr flying seems to address this as you essentially glide up or down. Be nice if we had a throttle, I suppose
Do you know how you can hit the slash key on the number pad to switch from running to walking when on the ground? Maybe, they could have that slow you down while you’re flying, too, as it could easily be toggled on and off.
