Is there a way to set the campaign a previous expansion?

And while were on this topic, why won’t WOW implement some way of tracking your quests throughout a larger achievement better? I feel like the limited visibility on your quest progress toward a specific goal is very limited. I think after all this time, they could implement something to allow a player to focus on completing a set path and make it transparent and user friendly

Do you mean like Chromie time to choose a previous expansion? That’s the only way I know. Though if you’ve accepted the SL’s intro quest, you’re locked into SL.

Which is terrible.

yeah that’s the thing, why do they do that, what purpose does it serve and what detriment to the game would it serve to let players chose their campaign?

If you aren’t doing Chromie, you can just go to a mission board and select the starting mission for an expansion area… unless I’m off on that.

Well, they do let you choose it. You just loose it once you hit 50 AND accept the SL quest and actually do it.

I would agree though as I have a druid that was playing through BFA and once I hit 50 & accepted and did the SL quest, I lost the ability to do the Stormsong (sp?) Dungeon to find out what happens. Now I have to go through SL or skip to choose a Covenant to go back and finish it.

I cant finish the Legion stuff either to complete my class hall mount skin. I agree that it’s a disaster of sorts.

I am trying to get the achievement to unlock the Kul Tiran race, mind you I’ve never played Alliance in the over 13 years of playing this game, leveled a horde character and then faction changed and I am utterly lost. And then it dawned on me, that the way this is set up is very bad, maybe I am missing something, but it seems like if you are trying to do old content esp long chains to get achievements, its ridiculously complicated to pick it up somewhere in the middle

If you want to experience a previous expansion, you can start a new character and take them through whichever previous expansion you prefer using Chromie Time. You can then go back to Chromie and lock your XP (level 47 is the recommended time to do this so you don’t get the SL intro quest at 48) and stay in your expansion of choice to your heart’s content.

But once you hit level 50 on any character they can’t do Chromie time. So it needs to be on a new or low-level alt.

You can set achievements to be tracked but yeah once you have a whole bunch going at once for the bigger ones things get busy.

They also will have to be tracked again when you log.

I’d take it one step at a time and make sure low level quests are visible if you are backtracking.

Easier than trying to maneuver through Blizzard’s ridiculous achievement trackers.

I unlocked some of the Allied races coming in late to this game. 100% agree with Vhx’s suggestion but further to that I did a quick review of what is needed for what race.

Kul Tiran is in a nutshell getting the war campaign done till 8.1 up until you conquer Zul’dazar and all of the Alliance side maps (Drustvar/Stormsong and Tiragarde Sound).

you realize that this is not only not an answer to the issue but its not helpful not sure if you’re trolling?

Your thread title reads “Is there a way to set the campaign a previous expansion?”. I naively took that to mean that you wanted to experience a previous campaign.

Excuse me for trying to help. Perhaps next time you should be a little less incomphrehensible when naming your threads.

AMAZINGLY HELPFUL!!! If only Blizzard had thought to implement this in their own game after all these years

Or you can go up to 49 on a second account that hasn’t purchased shadowlands and still do Chromie Time.
