Hey, I’m just wondering if there’s an addon out there that can mute the Grand Expedition Yak’s mount vendors?
Cousin Slowhands, and Mystic Birdhat are incredibly annoying. I’ve been listening to them for years, and they drive me nuts.
I just want a script/addon that will make it so I never have to hear their dialogue again.
Ideas?
Ps. Muting the rest of the game sound isn’t a solution.

Speaking of muting things, is it possible to mute that “I need a target” thing?

I want them gone! All of them!
Well. Just their voices.
Yes. Turn off error sounds in sound settings.

Addon called MuteSoundFile
You’d have to figure out what file the grummels are using, but there ya go

I mute everything in the game, it all get annoying.
Oh my gosh! My game has never been less annoying! This is great. lol.
They used to really bug me too. Now I barely even notice them.
Oh yeah! There is actually! One sec…
Edit: Okay, here’s what you wanna do;
Menu > System > Sound > Under Playback > in Ambient Sounds > Uncheck Error Speech.
Now You can try to attack that target, and watch as your Night Elf silently screams with rage!
You clearly missed the wonder of this npc on the traveler’s tundra mammoth: https://www.wowhead.com/npc=32639/gnimo
a long time ago, when i played paladin, i couldnt stand the sound they make when they press a skill before its ready.
ended up having to find the sound file and replace it with an empty file of the same size/name. worked like a charm.
not sure if still doable or acceptable ; but this post reminded me of that.
Blizzard did ui and sound restricting with patch 8.2: FYI 8.2 seems to be breaking sound mods
See blue post linked in that thread.
Could go for the universal mute button…
