I want to set focus by pressing a button instead of pull down menu. Is there an easy way to keybind set focus?
Make a macro that is /focus, it will set your current target as your focus target.
To go further:
Make a macro that is /focus and then modifier for /clearfocus. Then put that on your bars and make that a hockey. Works pretty well.
You missed the BIND TO A KEY part. I would like to bind it to keypad - or +. Easy to reach from mouse hand.
I want to focus on a caster, then DPS say Explosive (affix) and interrupt casts rapidly.
You can bind macro’s to keys…
not sure i’m understanding what it is you don’t like about the above answers, but
in the menu you can assign “set focus” to a key on your keyboard, for example i have it set to T. that means if you target someone you can press T and it’ll set them as your focus
you can also make /focus macros in the macros page when you open the menu, and then drag that macro onto your action bar and in the keybindings menu set whatever that slot is to your preferred keybind
There is actually a focus function available from your keybind options. Don’t worry about making a macro (unless you want the focus to always be a specific target), simply open up the menu, open up keybind settings, and look for the focus target option (I think it is under the combat section for keybinds).
From there simply choose the keybind you want it to be and set it up directly.
Edit:-
This is the window you are looking for.
You have the option for both character specific keybinding or account/realmwide binding.
Pray, how make I an hockey?
'Tis the one step of thine by which I am stumped.

If you don’t know the answer, why do you keep posting?
@Haavi
Edit: I finally found it, it’s in Targeting you have scroll down some. I did look for it previously, but finally found it after the umpteen time looking for it.
curious if any of you know a macro for somthing like /cast @playertarget , trying to do this with Ravager.
