So im a male Void Elf , ive always loved the blood elf male sounds and i prefer them much more over the Void Elf male sounds . Does anyone know of an addon or some kind of modification i can do to change the void elf voices into blood elf ones ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !

It’s definitely possible for it to be made, considering addons exist that play sound and music files already but separately.

With the upcoming changes and additions to character customization I would love them to add another voice option or two for the races.
Tired of hearing the same one for every human, elf etc.

i wish that was an option, one of the reasons i play dark iron over regular dwarf is because i like how bombastic dark iron sound over dwarf
I’d play dwarf more if you could give them dark iron voice, or something like mountain king from Warcraft 3

This would be a game changer. I love the Mag’har look, and I don’t mind the lackluster racial, but OG Orc voice lines are BIS.

Go into your audio files. Had to do it with feral because wow. Those new feral sounds disgusting.

I remember Blizzard not liking people editing their character texture files, suspending them for messing with the files (or using an add on that does it.)
Would this be the same thing? I don’t think it would, since the concern there was that they could also edit “nodes” (such as Jellys…) so that they were huge/glowing or something. So there was an actual reason why they did that for textures/graphics.
I’ve never heard a stance that Blizzard had about the audio files.
I wish, there was but even the developers would not tolerate Voice altering mods. I am quite envious, my character still stuck with a placeholder voice.
The especially from taking his sounds really silly if your characters look like this. I would be more than happen to trade voice with OP. Any voice would honestly be better, this character sound like a cowardly pro wrestler inhaling helium from balloons before a match.

Yes but its kind of a pain since blizz made it to where you can’t swap out audio files anymore
You can download an add-on that mutes(I use mutesoundfile) and put in the file number of the audio you want to mute(you’ll have to look up the file numbers in the sound database on wowhead)
Then use another addon(i use weak auras) to play the sound files (again found in wowhead sound database) you want on certain conditions.(abilities, crits or such)
I was able to mute the mag’har orc sound affects and add in blackhands sound effects instead. Made all the difference in the world to me

you could download the oldgunsounds addon and look at the lua file in the zip. it would just be replacing different sounds instead.
