Is there a way of knowing the date you created your toon?

I know some of my toons are old and goes back years was just curious if there was way of knowing when my toons were created. Cheers

Interesting idea, I’d be curious as well.

I know I made this toon the day the Skywall server went live (Deathknell was a madhouse of swarming players and dead mobs). I bet I could probably find that out somewhere…

If you’ve had name changes put the original name your character had. And maybe original server if transferred?

I wonder if there is a way to find this out too. I usually use the date I earned the “Level 10” achievement as my character’s birthday since I usually hit lvl 10 the same day I create a new character lol

I’m sure the information is sitting on Blizzard’s servers somewhere. It’s kinda strange that it’s not visible…

Another method (though it’s a long shot) is to dig through old backups and look through the character folders in /World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<AccountName>/<ServerName>/. If you’re lucky, depending on how you backed that data up it might still have its original creation date, which would represent the first time you logged out of that character.

Using the above method, I can pinpoint the creation date of several of my older characters, including some that have since been deleted… the oldest I can find easily is for a character I created on Dec 8, 2007 and first logged off of at 11:50 AM.

In the past, that was not accurate. It was just when the capture of the information was recorded.

There are mods like altoholic that might have access to that data.

yea tried it but its been updated this year so shows up as 2019 as well

Thanks for the warcraftrealms suggestion. But it didn’t help me much.

I tried my 3 oldest toons, that I know I created in 2004 or early 2005.

I got a “hit level 60” date in 2007, a “hit 85” date in 2014, and a “hit 100” date in 2015, as the earliest record for each of the 3.

Maybe try looking at the date when you dinged lvl 10 since it’ll show you the DD/MM/year? Might not help or could very least a little?

Wow I always thought i started in like 2011, but apparently it was 2009ish.

Thanks for posting that and reminding me of guilds/days of old lol.

Edit: original name and server are required. As people above have mentioned.

Nor I.

Kylathia, Baelgun, Created 2004, 40 minutes after the servers opened, on Blackhand (day one, after midnight.) Took the free server transfer, when it happened, from overcrowded Blackhand to Baelgun.

Ah, the only one that it shows as also Blackhand, is my Hunter Kybeorie started after Kylathia was 60 (on Blackhand.) The hunter transferred with us to Baelgun, of course:

That date actually seems accurate, for the Hunter, since the priest was 60 and languishing in a raiding guild (then the hunter was an “alt”, in the same guild.)
