Behold, the WoW Classic roadmap:

Winter is Christmas time in America, so we still got around 7 months before launch.
Just wish they would confirm if there’s a 58 boost, or if permanent TBC servers will be a thing this time around.
I’m going to feel so betrayed if they rush through Burning Crusade & force every anniversary character into Wrath a 3rd time. Just let us decide if we want to stay in Outland progression! That junk takes over a year of solid raid attendance (With loot distribution) to min max. Oodles of attunement required, and reputation grinds.
You might think those people who’ve essentially completed the game will then quit, but in truth they usually play alts. Hunt rare mounts like Anzu or are on the edge of their seats each Black Temple for the correct Twin Blade of Azzinoth drop
And if they ultimately decide to preserve the game with pre-patch features, level 70 players will have a list of manageable achievements to unlock.
The only thing I’m doing in vanilla is preparing for TBC.
So far I have 7 level 60 characters, an army of profession alts slowly making their way to 60, every profession at 300, and a boatload of gold.
I am ranking a small group of these characters to the rank that contains the title I like the most for that character’s name. Grand Marshal on one, Marshal on several others.
If they added the 58 boost, it would just be a free profession alt for me.
Maybe you could start leveling now and if the boost comes, it’s just a freebee alt?
You want TBC locked with pre-patch? So Death Knights and broken skills meant for Wrath?
I didn’t consider skill changes…
Me, I got one level 46 priest @Anon
BTW this is precisely the type of people feeling entitled to gear and RMT’ing and screaming for GDKPs.
You can’t have it all if you split your efforts into 7 toons, not without making the game a full time job anyway.
Personally my only 60 is this Shaman. I have a lvl 35 Hunt i may or may not finish eventually and thats it.
What the hell are you even talking about?
It’s already kind of irrelevant. ZG coming almost 2 months early. At this pace TBC might be out by early/mid fall. The pre-patch anyway.
Feb 2026 ish.
Then no estimation is worth considering. I was only giving OP the only piece of media we have on the topic.
