Is there? I’ve seen 20+ posts about silences/week long/10 day long suspensions. I mean in-game btw.

It feels more like people are making double posts about the topic, rather than just reading what’s currently on the forums and adding their own experience to that thread. Balshadow could have just combined his 2 posts for example, instead of adding one right after the other. Now both are getting regurgitated.

I’ve not seen nor heard anything about people being silenced other than a couple of regulars here on the forums.

Over in Classic, yeah. Tons of people have been reporting catching an automated silence in the pre-patch

Not sure about retail, personally I haven’t really heard of any large ban wave or wave of silences in retail. But then again, retail is pretty dead at the moment while Classic is buzzing with players, so maybe that explains it lol :laughing:

I never talk in the in-game chat unless it’s guild chat. At this point, I have no idea why people even risk it.

I had a guy tell me he was going to report me the other day, for something I said, so I said, “Hot.” and then he said, “Touch me Daddy.” so I booped his nose.

That’s about as close as I ever come to an in-game silence nowadays. :dracthyr_crylaugh:

If players are silenced, how would we know?

The players that I play with in raiding or m+ and are on discord: none have ever been silenced. It simply is not a topic or an issue.

I played all weekend getting caught up with Covenant campaign and getting flying.

I saw no one. NO ONE. Talking. I saw two addon alerts about rares in the newest zone and some ads for runs in the new channel before I left it.

That’s it.

I played at least 16 hours this weekend.

Oh wait, sorry. Someone was asking for help with a World Quest in the Kyrian zone, but I was mid questline and told them I couldn’t help, sorry. That was the highlight of the social aspect in this MMO for the weekend.

Not more than what you would normally see
The issue at hand is that everyone of the folks on classic behaves like a toxic influencer trying to silence others, so… not really

But the issue with that is that one can’t really distinguish, at least not from the folks making forum posts, of those who got trapped by folks abusing the system, and then those who thinks Blizz is fine with slurs, insults, and more

So… not really, definitely not a wave
Just toxic folks being toxic, and unfortunately a handful of people who are genuinely innocent getting caught in it

Classic is a crap show. People abusing the report system left and right. Auto bans and silences constantly going out.
