Is there a resto druid haste cap?

I have 35% haste, am I doing it wrong or is there no cap to haste?

you’re doing it right as long as you have good direction in your supporting stats.

you probably take lycarra’s teachings, so you’ll still want lots of haste to support your animal forms.

stack haste a lot, however after 40%, any further increases to the stat will grant DR’s and you’ll get less per point. (someone plz correct me if i’m wrong here)

the best way to tell you have too much haste without enough supporting Vers/Mastery, is if you find yourself running out of mana really quickly, whilst simultaneously having really weak heals :dracthyr_nervous_animated:

can you share what your other stats are?

There isnt really a haste cap for season 1. Sims will tell you to keep maxing it. It doesnt start to hit the brutal dimishing returns until after 39% unbuffed without lycaras which doesnt add towards dr.

It’s after 30% from gear only, so talents like Lycaras Teachings and/or spells like Bloodlust do not affect it.

Even then, it’s only a 10% penalty all the way up to 39%.

Apparently resto druids are not limited by the 30% rule that some other classes are. The diminishing returns start after a certain fixed value, which you can see when you mouse over the % stat in your character window.

From Icy Veins - the diminishing return percentage by value:

  • Crit and Mastery: 10% after 5400, 20% after 7200.
  • Haste: 10% after 5100, 20% after 6800.
  • Versatility: 10% after 6150, 20% after 8200.
