Messing around with Death’s Due and I realized that this legendary only really works for only 2/3 specs. Is there a reason why Frost was left out from this legendary? I think it could be pretty fun and powerful if Frost was given access to it.
I think its specifically designed as an unholy legendary and not a general legendary. It just happens to be neat for blood too
This, but also Death’s Due has low interaction with Frost as it is. It is Shadow damage & a 30s CD for Frost. Which means the only time you should be pressing that button is when you want to cleave things with Oblits for a bit.
That said - I love my purple circle dearly, I just wish it interacted with Frost in a more meaningful way; Shadowfrost damage would be a great start. Making it a 20s CD to match Unholy would be nice too. Making Death’s Certainty affect Frost Strike, and count Frost Strikes towards the CDR would be tops.
Really wish all of the covenant abilities, or at least the ones that dealt Shadow damage dealt Shadowfrost. But at the very least the ability given to us by the WINTER QUEEN should have been Shadowfrost.
Death’s Certainty is perceived as Unholy Legendary. The better question is that “Is there a reason why the Death’s Certainty Legendary doesn’t work with epidemic”.
I actually wouldn’t underestimate its interaction with Frost. It’s working surprisingly well actually. Death and Decay has always been a very niche ability for Frost and Death’s Due augment with 8% strength just makes it work.
I actually use Icecap to align Pillar of Frost with it so when I use Obliterate while under Death’s Due, I get 4% strength per Obliterate use and 6% when cleave a nearby target. Koltira will benefit from this quadruple times if used as a DW. Can’t say for 2h however.
The current state of Death’s Due is basically Get Strength and Get Out and that’s pretty much sufficient for me as well as probably one of the good interactions with Frost.
These two I agree. Death’s Due dealing Shadowfrost would make sense since Ardenweald is a realm of winter. Making it 20 seconds for Frost sounds very nice also. Death’s Due has always been weird though as for both Blood and Unholy, the Strength bonus has always been a hassle to deal with that would be easier if there are 5+ mobs nearby.
Death’s Certainty should include Epidemic and nothing else since it is a legendary designed for Unholy, not Frost.

FWIW I love using death’s certainty while blood. Something about 100% uptime makes me happy.
