I just want to play against other solo players and avoid the premades
It probably wouldnt work. They cant stop 8 groups of 5 players from all ending up in the same group, they couldnt stop 10 individuals
all it takes to break up sync groups is high participation in pvp.
I dont think there will ever be enough players that both pvp, and dont want to pvp with friends, unranked, for there to be enough players to beat out the people that enjoy syncing
thats like a minigame in our minigame
There is no reason we cannot have…provided by Blizzard. The pvp communities wont stop queue syncing everything they can, even if the only reward is tiny amounts of honor and way less conquest, they do it for laughs, for fun.
Queue Syncing Solo BG with a community of duo and single queueing players has happened already and that is rated content.
Punishments for those queue syncing the hypothetical solo queue random BG would be even less likely.
The best way to have a chance to beat queue syncers without also queue syncing, is queue with 4 geared friends and be the premade size the game allows. If success while queueing solo is your main goal, play a meta spec and climb rating in Solo Arena(solo shuffle).
I have no issue with them adding the game mode you want, but I don’t trust them to force it to be as you wish it to be.
If necessary, premade raiders are willing to sync queue 40+ “solo” players.
Blizzard should consider improving matchmaking in random bgs so teams are more fair (e.g. cross-faction teams, hidden MMR, spec balancing, role balancing, etc.).
Every time a team gets outplayed, they assume it’s because of a premade. Truth is, your team just didn’t measure up. You were fighting pugs after all.
^ words of someone who thinks they outskilled you with 7 more healers while stacking meta ranged dps.
Blizzard should consider improving quite a bit game wide the first step to making epics better is just upgrading the servers so people can actually play the fight out.
Then its onto premades and actually fixing some of these maps that are just straight garbage design wise like wintergrasp should disable gliders cause it was never created with gliders in mind.
You get used to seeing the same names etc and know they are a premade community. For duo sync queues in Blitz it’s 4 people same server same guild. Not leaving much to the imagination
I don’t understand why these people complain 24/7 about “premades” as if they’re only ever playing “premades” 24/7. That’s not the case. The only time I can see that being a problem is during those off hours time of day when one faction is basically solos/pugs but the other faction does have premades queueing.
Pugs stomp other pugs just as badly as premades can. But these people refuse to acknowledge that. Most of them don’t even want to play epic BGs or play them well. They intentionally mess around not playing objectives then claim the loss was due to anyone but themselves and “premades.”
At this point these people have an emotion-driven personal beef and that’s why they show up on these threads endlessly arguing with zero intellectual honesty.
[edit]
NOT talking about blitz, I couldn’t care less about a bad PvP mode people begged for but didn’t test, trusting it to magically turn out right.
Play Blitz.
Most of the times these discussions end with nothing precisely because of intellectual dishonesty of people in premades refusing to acknowledge the disastrous side effects of their que syncing. Because doing so would just admit that they are terrible… selfish people which there is nothing wrong with that plenty of people are like that.
If blitz fails it will be because blizzard let it fail. If they want to handle the rmt sites and crackdown on all the shady stuff going in it then it will be good if they don’t and want it to just remain in the hands of bad third party actors trying to monetize it for their own gain then it will remain bad.
It will also remain bad if you keep losing 200 rating any time you have a minor internet cutout or because blizzards servers just straight up hard crash.
its not premades holding you back but it sure is easy to blame them.
totally not you being new or facing players who have been doing this for 20 years.
Blizzard listens to Elite Players and streamers, they tune the classes based on AWC, the same elites that Blizzard listen to are the ones that work for websites selling ratings.
But it would be nice if SOLO was actual SOLO, not random players vs a Premade, casuals vs Professionals boosting accounts for money.
No accountability whatsoever. Blaming others is all they know.
Speaking from experience, I know a DK with over 2k honor who calls me a premade, even when I’m solo or duo queued. He even mercs just to vent his frustration. Meanwhile, he barely puts in any effort unless he has an AA; on other maps, he’s just AFK in the base, leeching honor from his team. Meanwhile, I’m out there playing objectives and actually communicating with the pugs, working as a team.
Maybe it’s time to adapt this mindset:
Let’s assume every game is against a premade and do your best regardless.
How about that?
Your problem is seeing it as “off hours”. Unfortunately or fortunately not only US players are grouped for PvP. Those “off hours” is another regions prime time. That being said I also queue in US prime time as 1/3 epic bgs I am in has a premade on either side. Even if what you are saying is true then there is no reason to not make sync queues against TOS. Do this and the number of complaints will go down if its enforced either way
Blitz is full of premades
Cross Faction would do wonders though.
Blizzard should change the name of it to Battleground Boosting BGB lol. Its like it was designed just for that purpose.
^
With cross-faction teams, Blizzard could also do some spec balancing, role balancing, and add a hidden MMR without queue times exploding.
They can use some of the lessons they’re learning from Blitz’s matchmaking to improve random bgs.
