Is there a reason for having to do 11 level 8 delves?

The great vault says 8 of 8 delves but to unlock the last highest to 616 you have to do 11 level 8 delves?

If so can the tooltip be adjusted to the more accurate way it works?

Did you do any lower delves this week? The last slot is based on the lowest score of your eight highest delves, so if you did a 1 this week and only 7 8s, maybe you miscounted and had 3 delves done before you got your 8 8s.

It’s however many completions are required to unlock the slot, with the ilvl determined by the lowest completion on the list. You need 8 T8+ delves to max the final slot, but you only need 8 delves total to unlock it in the first place. If you filled it with delves that weren’t T8 (or world activities), you have to do enough T8+ completions such that all 8 runs in that slot are T8+ or else the ilvl will be lower.

This is the reason here. World activities (theater, pacts, world bosses, etc.) count for that bottom row alongside Delves. You can unlock all three slots without doing a full compliment of delves, but in order to get 616 gear in all three slots, you need to do eight T8 Delves, regardless of what else you may or may not have done that week.

To avoid any confusion in the future do 8x t8 delves before any other weekly overworld content.

There is a weakaura that keeps track of the number of T8 delves you have done.

Bountiful Delves Tracker

It also let’s you see the which Bountiful Delves are active without looking at your map. Very userful addon.

Note: By default, it only displays in the open world (not major cities). It’s easy to change that though.

It’s always been 2/4/8. I’ve never had an issue, even after doing a bunch of world content to get keys first.

Hmm
 that has to be it as I only do 8’s+. Me and the wife do a couple 8’s together on her weekend as she doesn’t have the time. It’s a weird non-sensical mechanic but explains why. TY for all the helpful resonses.

did WQ’s which count why u do 8 delvs first THEN go do WQs

I mean, if you mouse over each chest in the vault, it will tell you what you need to upgrade. I don’t think you need an addon for that. Unless I have an addon that’s doing that quietly that I never noticed.

The world activities/delves row doesn’t have this mouseover information. The other 2 rows do, and always have.

I definitely get this information when I mouseover? Delves are my principle form of content. Like if I have 2 world activities and 6 T8 delves, mousing over the third chest will tell me to do more delves at T2+.

At some point you weren’t doing level 8 delves or didn’t cap delves first.

Maybe it’s there now? I honestly haven’t looked in a couple of weeks, but I know at one point it wasn’t giving us this information.
Either that, or some addon is hiding it from me.

You only have to run eight; either you ran lower tier delves or the panel is bugged.

Small correction but mythic plus only very recently displayed the keys you’ve ran for the week. before that we had to use raiderio or an addon.
