What ya’ll think?
I mean, you have like 6 weeks. Knock yourself out. Always nice to know what’s been going on and how we got to the next point.
If you’re generally interested in the lore then yeah, absolutely. For as much griping as you may see about the story it did have some real highlights. The blue dragonflight probably had the best shining moments I’d say. But overall it was still enjoyable. B- for me.
Nah, it’s the worst story to be released. You’d be better off playing older expansion areas for FAR better story.
If you haven’t done them at all, I think there’s some decent rewards tied to the main quests.
The quest and story vibe of this expansion wasn’t the most exciting but it definitely wasn’t the worst.
Lol you’ll burn out so hard.
There’s about a week until pre-patch, and we may get some TWW breadcrumb quests.
Every single DF zone’s story is probably a few hours (probably 2ish+ hours for the story quests alone, but several more hours if you’re doing all the quests) of questing alone, and renown levels are also required for finishing said stories.
And there isn’t really a “point” unless you’re a completionist.
It’s months and months of content you’d be trying to finish in, well whatever frame of time you have left. Granted it’s boosted/easier now, but still a lot.
Eh its pretty bland. Personally I’d just read/watch a recap.
If you like the Dragons and their lore, then yeah, do the main story. There’s a lot of good stuff, especially pertaining to the Blue, Black, and Bronze flights.
If you don’t care about dragons and you don’t care about the overall story of the game (including some stuff that will eventually resurface in TWW and beyond) then I guess there’s no “real” need to play through it.
So just ask yourself how much you care about the story of the game, and the answer to that question is exactly the same as how important it is to complete the story quests for Dragonflight.
You’re not missing much.
I found them enjoyable but unlike the forum folks I enjoyed dragonflight it was a nice take it slow xpac before they ramp things up again.
I know a lot of folks on the forums didn’t care for it however dragonflight for the most part did exactly what blizzard said it was going to do when they announced it.
My only gripe is the stupid amount of auto accept quests wish that wasn’t a thing lol
There’s about as much point as there was past the first few weeks of DF. The rewards aren’t the point of doing the story past level cap.
It’s worth doing once. Of course if you don’t do it now you can always go back later and level an alt through DF with Chromie Time.
I liked it. It was a nice palate cleanser from all the trash we’ve had for the last couple of expansions. It also undid one of the dumbest narrative choices in WOW. De-powering and sterilizing the dragonflights at the end of Cataclysm was just stupid and I’m glad we rectified that mistake. I also liked the whole Order vs Chaos conflict between the Aspects and the Primalist. Much more interesting than Good vs Evil.
Of course there is. It is a game, go play it.
Nice bait.
They removed the renown requirements already with Dark Heart, so now you can freely play through the full thing.
If you find story questing fun, go do it. It’s not a half bad chunk of gold when you wrap up and you can delete everything along the way.
If you plan to primarily level by questing in TWW, I’d be careful of burnout.
It’s at least progress towards something while we wait these last couple weeks though.
I mean, it’s bad, but it’s not ‘turn the most iconic helmet in the game into a burger king crown then give it to some useless random guy so he can rule over the afterlife’ bad
i think it is a reasonable way to level up, especially if you have dungeon spammed your life away via m+ etc
I got to the centaurs and gave up on DF’s story. The pacing was trash.
