In the leaked screenshot of the covenant armor, it shows 5 players standing in what appears to be light armor. In previous iterations of covenant armors we have seen 4 players in each of the armor styles.
Could the 5th signify a new covenant with 9.1?
I didnāt see one mentioned anywhere. Info on wowhead states all covenants get a new mog set, that apparently can be worn regardless of class armor type. It could be those you are seeing.

There are 5 players standing in distinct cloth armor styles. Left is necrolords, nightfae, bastion, mystery set, and then Venthyr at the end.
The 4th set from the left is not a covenant we are currently playing in. So thereās 5 depicted in that screenshot. I highly doubt only 1 covenant is getting x2 armor stylesā¦
I see that, I just donāt see any info on a new covenant which would be a huge selling point on a major patch. If anything Iām guessing one is a neutral set or one is from that Korthian city we will be assisting. The neutral set could be from Oribos as well.

But those arenāt covenants theyāre just factions we help and the title of the leaked screenshot is " new covenant armor " so that still doesnāt add up.
Itās possible that the 4th from the left is part of the āBrokersā style since it kinda looks like it especially the shoulders. Maybe theyāre being turned into a covenant? At the end of the first paragraphs it says āand much moreā meaning thereās still more that hasnt been revealedā¦
I think itās Venthyr, stylized like a Venthyr.
Maybe the one on the furthest right one of the non cloth sets that was ready to showcase?
Highly doubt theyāre going to give 1 covenant x2 armor styles and the rest only 1. Much more plausible that theyāll continue to expand the covenant system by adding another one and adding another portal in Oribos.
letās not forgetā¦oribos is large and thereās plenty of space to add more portals.
I highly doubt it, but anything could happen. I just feel like the set your referring to will come from the new covenant campaign listed in the set of update features. The one tied to our covenant being earned early, and the different one when our covenant finishes their work in the new territory. With big patches like this if there was going to be an entire new covenant it would def make this list given that these will be the talking points at blizzcon.
Unless the list was intentionally āleakedā and theyāre saving the ābest for lastā type of thingā¦idk just seems really odd that they would put 5 ānew covenant armorā players up instead of the 4 if all we have are 4 covenantsā¦its very misleading. Any additional armor styles we get outside of the 4 covenants is not covenant relatedā¦
Iām staying optimistic that we see a surprise 5th covenant introduced. They already said they were going to continue expanding the shadowlands and thereās plenty of space in oribos for more portals to the ālimitless realmsā in the shadowlands.
Well. They may offer multiple styles of armor for each covenant. I hope thatās the case. The Nightfae set wonāt be used by my hunter.
It could just be a neutral covenant for story purposes but doesnāt require you to choose like the other 4.
Since this patch seems Broker heavy I think that would be plausible.
Why would it be? Iām sure as hell not abandoning my covenant, not with all the grind Iāve had to put into it.
Also, āmeaningful choicesā (barf) means theyāll never actively encourage players to switch covenants.

I personally am very happy with Kyrians, but people often love a new toy. Besides if they added a brand new covenant I think they would make the transfer system to that covenant less punishing.
It looks a lot like the Accuserās outfit. Could just be that for the Venthyr.
Venthyr is the only covenant with two rep grinds to my knowledge, so honestly it would make sense.
I thought that too but to be honest it looks to me like the far right set and the one to left next is the cloth set for venthyr. Maybe these are the only ones done and they just decided to post them.
