Spells like healing circles(Druid/Shaman etc) - is there any macro/way to get them to just place at the location of a target? I really hate anything with a circle that I have to manually place in a location. 9/10 times I get a glitch where it clips and casts it floating in the air somewhere
You can do @cursor macros which drop it wherever your cursor is when you press the button and you can drop it at your own feet with @player. Unfortunately @target macros were broken because pvpers didn’t like them being used for hunter traps and whatnot. They existed for a brief time in shadowlands but they claimed it was a bug (it would have been a really nice change for pve).
I have a feeling they are gravitating towards this anyway.
I know Warlocks, SPriests and Ele Shams have an option to cast at your target instead of having to aim their Earthquake/RoF/Shadow Crash respectively.
I think all reticle abilities should have this option either way. Might just be a matter of time.
Agreed. It wouldn’t be the first time they disabled something in pvp.
Or if they left it in, it just means less skilled hunter will be able to land their cc and there would be no change for hunters at the top. Maybe blizzard could balance around knowing hunters would land their cc 100% of the time then.
I’m hoping they make everything just aim at the target eventually. I play on controller and even with @cursor macros aiming takes a hot minute.
Using traps in PvP? Nah, that ain’t happening, just gonna make those @player and wrap up any melee folks who get close. Works out alright, usually.
Being able to more accurately throw traps a distance would be nice.
