Is there a lore reason why kul tirans are so big

were they empowered by the titans or evolved over the course of many years

Some of them are. If you speak to Ulfar in Drustvar, he explains that as the origin of the Kul’Tiran druids.

Trying to determine if my response will get my post hidden. It probably will.

Orc genes. There’s a reason Thrall and Jaina are so close…

When they were young lads they ate four dozen eggs ev’ry morning to help them get large
And now that they’re grown they eat five dozen eggs so they’re roughly the size of a barge

There is no reason.

Someone came up with an idea that they could be closer linked to Drust (Vrykul) and a lot of people thought that was cannon, however it was shot down in a interview.

They have developed an alcohol based protein shake.

What fascinates me is that Blizz hates the Kul Tiran model so much that very few notable Kul Tiran NPCs actually use it. Priscilla’s evil, the Harbormaster… And that’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

Blizzard says we’re just bigger boys than the others.

They’ve come out and said that we’re not.

They don’t mean they bred into Kul’tirans, they mean the Thornspeakers became human only over time as the Drust slowly died out. Ulfar is the last of the living Drust.

I think thay say that on the drustvar quest. That some drust were united with kultirans

Because they are strongmen…

Now I personally like the player based theory (whip out tin foil time) these are the test beds for an ogre pc race one day.

Work out the kinks now for the ogre show.

Personally I hope this theory becomes less tin foil and more real.

I don’t think there’s a lore reason. They just wanted them to look more burly and robust because they’re mariners who live on an island that tends to have harsh weather.

And why not. More thicc = bigger, warmer hugs.

I’m the skinniest in my family. :frowning:

I mean, different countries have different average sizes for people, mostly due to genes, diet and culture. It’s not far-fetched to think it’s the same for Azeroth continents. Replace “kul tirans” with the nationality of your choice, it doesn’t mean people are empowered by titans, lol.

Isn’t it from being shipwrights and monster hunters? Honestly try building a ship from hand and you will no longer question the beefy Kul’tirans. Instead question how the scrawny ones survive.
