Is there a list for consume magic?

I honestly have no idea what dungeon mobs or bosses i can use this one. Thanks

Grab a weak aura or plates that show mobs that have an active magical effect. Use Arcane Torrent and Consume Magic when needed.

Z-Perl Unitframes highlights consumable buffs.

Threat plates does as well. It makes it a bit obnoxious tbh. I had to scale mine down.

Here’s a weakaura for it if you prefer, pops up on the screen when there’s a purgeable magic debuff on the target, provided the target is also attackable.

What everyone else is saying, but the default nameplates highlights buffs you can consume. When targeting an enemy, it will show their buffs/debuffs below them. The ones you can consume will glow/be highlighted.

Also, here’s a nice little Consume Magic not many DHs know, or to my knowledge not many know. In King’s Rest, after first boss when you enter that room with 4 groups that spawn 1 at a time. The group with 2, 1 caster and the other melee with the blade storm. First group on the right. When the caster casts Seduction on one of your teammates, you can Consume Magic that debuff off of them. They turn to an enemy, which then makes that debuff a buff for them for Consume Magic to work.

What this guy said

Keep the default enemy target portrait somewhere convenient near your other timers and if you see a shiny icon appear below the enemy frame that means you have something to dispel

I use ElvUI. What would i need to enable on it to see consumable dispel?

Out of curiosity, are people talking about Unit Frames (target, focus, target of target), or Name Plates (the bar above each mob, showing health)?

There is a massive difference where a player can see things that need to be dispelled on every mob within sight, rather than just the target selected.

For the normal nameplates, just the target selected. Not sure about other nameplates. But if you are seriously worried about this, just ask someone with experience. There’s really not many buffs to consume. Run each dungeon a few times and you’re good to go.

Edit: What I’m trying to say is, it’s not that big of a deal. Running Heroics and Mythic 0s for each dungeon a few times is enough. Keep an eye on what they cast and what that buff does. For example, in Shrine. Before first boss there’s healers that cast a buff that increases spell casts. I never consume that. Waste of a GCD in my opinion. Their healing spell takes awhile to cast anyways. Even with their buff. But the Protective Aura, or something like that, that the Guards cast reduce damage all nearby allies take. I consume this every time. Or kick it. If you have a mage, have the mage spell steal.

It seems like a lot, but it’s more of just memory and experience. Don’t sweat over it. Run Heroics and Mythic 0s for practice. You’ll be good to go. Also, ask other people. We love to give advice.

Oh, I’m all good, as I use name plates which show all targets (allowing for torrent use). I do think unit frames would be restrictive for someone learning, as it only show their target.

It’s just that some people here seem to be confused between the two.

Should be top one Magic purges breaks out by dungeon and priority. Can program into WA though WA has a setting for purgable spells that you can use as well.
