Is there katanas swords two handed and one handed? if yes can I get the names so I can buy them from the auction house and be able to transmog.

theres a quest one in the BC starting zone… Hellboar Carver i think?
Archaic Defender is a vanilla world drop thats probably the closest thing you want.
theres a couple 1 handers too i forget the names of tho.
Feel like something like that should drop from MOP zones.

If you open your collections tab you can set filters to show 2h swords, and from there browse all appearances right there.

Depends on what purpose. 
A chick in my last guild (when I was horde proposed to create a Vulpera with katanas called Nwinja. I’m afraid if you have any intentions along those lines, that’s a no no.

there a some. 2h drops from Blackfathom Deeps. At least used to when last boss was a hydra.
Im more surprised they havent added new ones, they finally started adding more rapiers so why not katanas?

Considering the fact that one of the units from WC3 (Orc Blademaster) used a katana style blade… blizzard would have been remiss not to add katana style swords to WoW…
They haven’t added any cultures that would use such a weapon. Revendreth hands out Rapiers, but Revendreth is a giant castle with courtiers, so it lines up. There’s no “Medieval Japan” culture in WoW, and thus, Katanas stop at Vanilla (TBC counting the Felsteel Longblades).
Then again… it’s not that they had any real justification before, and they were mostly included on a “rule of cool” basis.
I wish Blademaster was a Monk spec.

^ That comes to mind, but be aware that it’s generally very expensive on the AH for either the smithing plans, or the weapon itself.
On my server, the weapon is currently posted for 50K. According to TSM, the current US average posting price is 64K, and the price it typically sells at is about 35K.
All that being said, while I still consider 30-60K expensive for a piece of t-mog gear, that’s actually rather affordable compared to some other stuff.
Blade of Hanna/Typhoon. Very expensive however.
Wrathblade and the Coral-Sharpened Greatsword are my personal favorites for WoW Katana.
Tyr’mar’s Greatsword looks great in an off hand if you dual wield it with the Coral-Sharpened Greatsword in main hand.
