Is there a hot key I can use to turn sound on for cinematics when I have it disabled?

I was wondering if I could hit a key and hear cinematics when they pop up? They often happen when I have the audio off.

Ctrl+S is the default to toggle sound.

But, if you have sound disabled, it just tells you it’s disabled. It doesn’t turn it back on.

That’s got to be some addon. Thats the default keybind one for toggling sound. I’d also make sure you don’t have some custom keybinds, too. I rebound ctrl-s because I always play with sound.

You can have sound enabled, but music/dialogue/effects muted. That way cinematics will still have sound, and things like boss mods and weakauras can access the master sound channel.

ctrl+s is the keybind for toggling Sound Effects, not sound in general. It only includes things like ability sounds, dialogue, and (I think) ambient sounds. ctrl+m is music.
