Is there a correlation between IQ and faction choice?

Does anyone else think that alliance in general have a higher collective IQ? For example, orgrimmar has a backdoor. And orcs get triggered easily (it’s their racial after-all). Also, it’s possible forsaken don’t technically have brains.

Well I’m smarter than you and I’m going Horde. So there’s that.

lol

I doubt it, I would be willing to wager that there is a correlation between PVP / PVE choice and faction.

It’s not just smarts but belief. Half the weapons that orcs use are technically broken but since the orcs believe that they work, they do. Good luck as a night elf hunter trying to pick up and use an orc’s (probably broken) rifle.

It’s possible that people with a more ‘rebel’ spirit pick horde.

I think the biggest impactor on what faction you pick is what side your friends play on.

Are we speaking in terms of lore or actual people playing the game?

Either way it’s both alliance

In terms of intelligence you can look at it in many different ways. For example, gnomes must have crazy high iqs as they are the inventors of wow and rely solely on their wit to survive and thrive.

But, you could also see Tauren as ‘wise’. They might be simple in terms of their tech and their architecture, but they are a very wise race in terms of community and environmental awareness.

Orcs can be seen as intelligent in terms of battle prowess, but in terms of everything else they are pretty DaF compared to other races.

I find I tap more into my rebel spirit playing a female gnome as a large adult male.

Something cliche about playing an orc warrior or undead rogue. Just too obvious, too overplayed.

Alliance is smart and weak, horde are strong and dumb.

Now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

I smell troll doodoo

That’s what you get for picking Horde!

Gotta love Spaceballs. I believe all the horde cities have 2 entrances. The alliance cities don’t really because they’re not accessible unless you go through the front door of one city, or roll NE

The answer is yes, but only because IQ Georg plays Horde.

Absent such an outlier, there is no trend.

Gnomes have higher intellect, raising the Alliance’s average IQ.

I think you’re mixing up WoW with Warhammer 40k.

This.

Goblins weren’t part of the Horde back in Vanilla, while Gnomes were part of the Alliance.

As such, collective IQ of Horde was lower than Alliance. :hugs:

People get upset when a Gnome kills them.

“Why is that Kebler elf looking thing killing me?!”
