Is there a confirmed way to get Amethyst Spireshell to spawn? (Nazjatar Rare)

Some comments on wowhead said that it shares a spawn with Sea Spireshell, so I jumped my way up onto a coral with a couple of snails on it. Is this the way to do it or am I wasting my time here?

EDIT: Yeah that seemed to be the way to do it. Took a while but it spawned

I’ve never really had a problem finding this guy. There’s often multiple up simultaneously.
