Is there a best tank for this phase?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if I could spark some discussion on whether or not there was a definitive “best” tank for this phase. For instance, a lot of people say rogue is great and then half the people say it’s horrible.

I personally see no warlock tanks in any groups I’m in, same with warrior. Is something wrong with these tanks in this phase?

Rogue tanks like to say they’re bad to avoid the nerf bat but they’re amazing.

I was playing with one that could not hold threat on adds at all. Are they bad at aoe threat?

Rogue is trash at multi target threat. But single target they are by far the best tank this phase

Not sure why tf we are putting our rogue on adds then in every single fight.

If you’re horde, a shaman would be way better on adds. They have insane AOE.

Like was said above, Rogue is amazing right now at ST.

That being said finding a good Rogue tank is the hard part.

Because whoever made that call clearly shouldn’t be making calls. I understand not everyone is going to know everything, but if you conveyed that rogue sucks at multi target but is goated at single target and they didn’t address it or make any changes then yikes.

Once we have our SE set we will be better at AoE tanking (still worse than most tanks), but throughout SoD rogues have been really bad at add tanking. Mostly because of combo points and energy. When I swap targets I lose all my combo points unless I use redirect which is clunky and if I am out of energy when new adds appears, I can literally not do anything, but walk over taunt one and start autoing another while I wait for energy to regen. Most of the times when adds spawn, usually multiples spawn. Other classes just have better tools for it.

rogue tanks are amazing for non aoe physical bosses (until you get a crushing hit) but the worst for any non physical fights( we lack stam and some sort of easily accesable kit to help with magic damage besides swapping gear or shoulder enchant which gimps threat even more) and only good at certain aoe fights abusing cheese of 2 piece t2 coreforged fok spam with a striker dagger

Rogue top physical tank.

Lock top magic tank.

Druid/sham/paladin about equal, with diff pros and cons. Strong aoe and solid enough MTs.

I’d argue warr is probably the worst, but still very viable
