There still is. If you roll a Gnome spell caster, the racial ability “Expansive Mind” increases your mana pool. Great for healers and Arcane Mages.

Yeah. Blizzard insist on making some racials better than others.
I think racials should not benefit you in group content but of course I don’t have a say in it.

there are small dps gains, like dwarf and i think tauren have a crit buff
in m+ most helpful is utility. healers generally wanna be nelf. tanks can go nelf or dwarf. dwarf is best for dps
tldr is sort of, but what benefits exist are broad and/or negligible

Oh yeah. Dwarves are good for tanking too because of their racial ability Stone Form.

I can imagine the uproar if Blizz actually did that.
I know I would be pretty unhappy, I love my racial abilities. And I would definitely debate if I want to continue playing if that’s how things are going.
I didn’t say remove all racial abilities, I think they should remove the ones that give you an edge in group content.
Like my crit buff? I wouldn’t give a damn if it was removed.

I think the differences are so small from what you guys are saying, why have them anyway? --at this point in the game

But what about your AOE stun that can be used as an additional interrupt. That would make a lot of people unhappy

I picked the crit racial because it’s the best one I have but same thing goes for Warstomp.
If it meant we were all on equal footing in group content then so be it. Take it. I can still pick herbs like nobody business.

Mechagnome racial gives a boost to your main stat the longer you are in combat, as well as a free emergency heal when you get below 40% health with a 2min internal cooldown.
Also all profession tools built-in to your hands, including a cooking fire, and a skeleton pinky for picking locks and opening doors and chests.
I have several, because of that.
Loved doing dungeons like Shattered Halls during timewalking, and being able to open the door to the warlock boss despite having no rogue in the group.

Depends if you want to try to pull off the new Dawn of the Infinite wombocombo using night elves and portals?
I don’t have a rogue on the Alliance side because of this racial and it amuses me to send lockboxes to my mage 
I love racials like this.

Most people seem to play “pretty” races. So most players in this game choose blood elves or since bfa Vulpera as the only stereotypical cute race in WoW. I don’t think many care for specific race class combos.
