I hit Ctrl + Click to see what an item looks like on my character, but it kicks me from AH everytime i do it. Is there a addon or a way to prevent closing AH when i view a piece of gear on my character?
Exactly how I do it, no addons. Are you clicking on it first to see the item or clicking it while itās still in the list?
Could it be an addon that is causing this to happen?
Blizzmove, Demodal and NoAutoClose
With those three addons, I can open and resize however many windows I want without any window closing any other window.
Depends on screen resolution. If thereās enough room to fit multiple windows they will stay open, if one gets pushed off the edge of the screen it closes.
I run on fullscreen 2560x1600 so I have no idea what other people do.
You donāt need an addon, you just need to resize your grids/windows whatever you want to call them in your options menu. Iām at work right now so I unfortunately canāt give a detailed walkthrough on where to go/what to do but my wife had to do it on her game. Sheād try on a piece of gear and itād close the AH on her. Once she did a bit of resizing she was able to do it just fine without anything closing. I lucked out, it was never an issue on my end.
One of my mog addons does it sadly in on vacation and canāt check⦠think its mog it
Iāve only got BlizzMove. I resized the windows on my small monitor, but I also use Narcissus with a larger preview window. It doesnāt close the AH for me with just BlizzMove.
Thatās odd. Pretty sure my addons arenāt doing it but I can ctrl click on items from the AH with no issue. I feel like Iāve seen a āresize windowā addon but Iām not sure. I suggest going to curse forge and browsing. Then download from WowUp.
I do use the Extended Dressing Room addon (because Horde). Shouldnāt do THAT though
edit: or try the ui forums!
Options > Graphics, check āuse UI scaleā and change the slider.
But it unquestionably is also tied to screen size / aspect ratio, when Iām visiting family and using a different monitor, I canāt have AH + crafting window open. At home, I can.
This is actually more associated with hardware, but can be corrected by addons. Essentially, WoW knows or assumes your monitor is too small to display both windows at the same time. So it closes one when the other is opened, which was a byproduct discovered early on in Dragonflight with the AH + profession revamp. People with larger monitors (around the golden numbers of 27 inches) had been fine while people with say 24s had been discovering this annoyance more often.
But like other people said ā just get some addons to move windows around and itāll fix it.
there are a few add-ons that specifically deal with viewing the item without actually having to click it. I think Mog It is probably one of the better ones because then you just mouse over the item and it pops up a window to show you what it looks like on your character.
All thatās needed is BlizzMove. Nothing more. No one needs a gaggle of addons for this.
