Is their an addon where the health/resources bar moves in realtime instead of ticks?

The one thing that bothers me UI wise that i can’t seem to find an addon for is the health/resources bar. Is their an addon that makes the health/resources bar go down in realtime or similar to retail’s that isn’t a total UI overhaul mod like Evui?

I’m currently playing classic beta as a rogue and it’s going okay, but that one part in particular just throws me off, cause i want to accurately time my attacks proper.

Edit: So apparently theirs no such addon cause i been told that’s how the game works. I did use the Weapon Swing addon, while it’s not what i’m looking though, it sorta helps regardless. Thanks though and happy classic-king! :grin:

Pretty sure the Energy bar actually DOES move in ticks, not steadily. Large ticks too.

Indeed, 20 energy per tick (sometimes I notice it doing 21 apparently if I had like 19 it could go up to 40.

There might be a swing timer that will sort of tell you when the ticks come. But it is in ticks and not smooth.

Bottom line the normal solution here is a “swing” timer that shows you when precisely to cast, i.e. when the tick is about to happen.

OmniCC is just going to show you spell timers, unless there is something in there from the past for that? Hrm. . .

Just checked the list and Quartz is not updated.

However, You could pull something off with WeakAuras2

That’s actually just how the game processes in classic. It’s not until much later that they smooth it out. It’s also not until much later that they greatly increase energy regions speed.

The way the game works, everything is in ticks.

I had a yellow bar add-on in vanilla that let you know when the next tick was going to come so you could time your abilities.

I forget the name, but it does exist.

Energy watch. It was super handy

The energy goes up in ticks of 20, it doesn’t go up gradually.

The Energy bar IS in 2s ticks. Your realtime creep nonsense is from a later version of retail.

I miss IceHud.

I’m not sure when the UNIT_POWER_FREQUENT/UNIT_HEATH_FREQUENT events were introduced but the original UNIT_POWER/UNIT_HEALTH events didn’t fire as often. Some addons used OnUpdate instead. Maybe they re-introduced the old behavior.
