Most classes and/or specs are getting expansion level changes in the 20th anniversary event. Like holy some of them are entire paragraphs of changes. Meanwhile Warrior barely has 3 lines and 1 of them is just an icon update, wtf is going on with the Warrior team? We had this issue in DF where we got nearly 0 changes for the entire expansion, please don’t let this be a repeat when there are glaring issues that need to be fixed like Hero Talent trees having 1 good choice and 1 complete trash unusable like so bad you’re actually just trolling if you pick it like Mountain Thane for Fury.
EDIT: Nvm we got changes and it’s just more nerfs lol.
These classes weren’t complete and likely rushed for launch. Warrior wasn’t.
Warrior team finished Warriors and didn’t get to work on other Classes. So be happy Warriors got finished and don’t have to wait for the 20th anniversary.
I disagree, Arms feels horrible to play still, Fury is okay, but lost all build variety and Mountain Thane is just a meme, Prot is good but really that’s the only spec that’s complete.
Yes, as in Mountain Thane for Fury, obviously for Prot it’s very good. Colossus is kinda fun with Prot actually. I got lucky and got mostly crits and the thing did over 4 million damage in Prot. It’s actually kinda wack just not worth it since the talent tree is purely damage based even for prot.
Lack of Class tree changes for warrior is concerning given the lack of freedom we really have in picking our utility talents or defensive talents without forgoing offensive options like every other class in the game.
On the other hand calls of “arms not being fun” are we even playing the same game? Arms atm is pretty damn fun in dungeons with Colossus (I’m deleting things with it currently and haven’t lost an overall to anyone yet. It’s throughput has been pretty insane), even whacking away at st rotation on dummies it’s got a solid feel to it gameplay wise.
im pretty sure pve and doing normal/heroic dungeons it can be quite fun, all tough i don’t think demolish is that reliable, since adds die before you stack up full for the big numbers, so i felt pretty “meh”
But world content and bgs seems pretty unfun compared to the fast and engaging Slayer,
Between MS, Exe, Ravager and Cleave you’re very easily able to build up the 10 stacks for max demolishes. The higher a keystone goes the more time you’ll have on trash packs to be able to both utilise Colossus’ solid consistent AoE and it’s Burst where it’s going to be a sleeper strong in the right hands.
Honestly I wouldn’t say slayer is fast at all. Both hero talents have basically the exact same gameplay outside of which cooldown you’re waiting on after pressing it.
Fury and Arms are looking very close at current balancing with Arms being ever so slightly ahead in terms of ST raid throughput as of current 4p sims (take with grain of salt).
Anecdotally i’ve also done higher overalls in dungeons as Colossus Arms than both Slayer Arms and Slayer Fury. I’ve also done a fair bit more than Slayer Fury when in the same dungeon as then (This part is anecdotal only and no real way to tell if those fury warriors are at the same knowledge and gameplay ability).
I’ve also seen some questionable performance from Colossus Arms Warriors who are playing very incorrectly and have nowhere near as much damage out of Demolish as they should have had.
In my experience, the group just killed everything before even getting the max stacks, prob will change on mythics, but like i said, felt pretty meh compared to Slayer.
You will press bladestorm more often, is one less button with the slayer strikes and imo, more fun to see people and mobs dying for the slayer slap
At least i think colossus is unplayable in pvp if you don’t run spear, and if you are running spear - i think - you are doing wrong by not picking the damn bleed buff from dragons roar.
With Arms I am rage starved.
The dev or devs that are working on this class/spec took advice from a few over-geared mythic whiners, that felt just because they had plenty of rage, we all did.
Confused a lot by this comment. In PvE until the execute phase, you should have no rage issues. If anything as Slayer you’ll have difficulty expending rage, which means you either aren’t pressing Overpower or enough, or aren’t paying attention to when you short cooldowns (CS, BS, etc.) are coming off CD.
Arms struggles a bit in Execute Phase, but thats the only place Arms has rage issues, where its more awkward than anything else (The damage output of Execute Phase is still very good).
Well in my experience it’s the opposite. Yeah you have some trouble off rip generating rage, but that’s only for the first like 6 seconds and then you can’t spend it fast enough. Arms desperately needs a rage spender off GCD and has always needed this. We used to have one in Heroic Strike but for no reason whatsoever it was pruned and never brought back.
