Let’s talk about this. I would make a good point to state that the new expansion, The War Within is the best X-pac to come out… With player engagement at an all-time high, and players lining up to see what blizzard has planned next. ‘’ Player Housing ‘’. The game seems to be doing absolutely amazing. There is so much content to enjoy that every player can find something in game that they love to do. From hunting down Rares for drake manuscripts in dragon isles, too Expanding your mind in what the next secret quest line will bring. It’s the tip of the iceberg. Every expansion available to play. Quests that take you through every part of the in-game world that some have never seen, and others are excited to revisit. The game is Booming! The story line is absolutely incredible with a campaign that you are drawn and immersed into. Things seem to be just right in every way. The world is so massive there is just endless content to do. Even if you’re a top tier mythic raider. You will find yourself still exploring in delves and challenging yourself against Zekvir. Player/Mount customization is headed in all the right directions, and I can’t be more thrilled to see what else comes next… What do you love about this Expansion?
Is entirely how I read this.
That’s not to say it’s all been bad. We got some QoL improvements. Promises were made. Lots of rehashed old content. All I see this expansion is a bunch of dwarves with robot voices and a customer support team replaced by actual robots.
So when you ask me why this is the best expansion
what? Yosemitie?
When it first came out? Yes. I agreed. Now? Nah. It’s just overtuned garbage. Nothing new or groundbreaking, aaaand bugs from beta are still in.
It is the best expansion since Legion.
Legion was so green.
For me personally it’s been a solid “good” overall. Unfortunately for me though, I’m having a really hard time caring about the story line and that is an important part to me. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m just saying that it does nothing for me at best and at worst irritates me in a few ways.
What kind of Achievements did you seek it out in the beginning, and did you complete them? For example, were you able to solo Zekvir for the Void mount to truly show your skill. What about Key master or AOTC? Professions? were you able to become a master smith or create one-of-a-kind inscriptions? Did you explore all the delves? Get Glory of the delver mount? How about the event in tanaris? Are you grouping up with friends and the community to solve the next clue. Have you had a chance to go back in time and play Alteric Valley when it was a 40-man game. I feel like there’s endless amount of things to do and Accomplish. break a million gold on your account from being one of the best Blacksmiths and day trader in the AH on the server. Event that is fun… fallowing the market and making money. Did you get a chance to finish BRD on heroic? The emperor is a whole new monster now. Maybe you’re like me who likes to lead raids and help the lower levels understand mechanics. I feel like the player base and community is at an all-time high. No matter what type of content you’re doing. People are always lined up in Q looking for a group… I think the player interaction is what makes this expansion one of the greats.
Can’t say yet, its only been out like 3 months
PvP is struggling to maintain relevance since their vault reward track got replaced with the delve / world quest track, glass cannon classes and specs are falling over in a few globals and getting crowd control focused for what feels like an actual minute.
Delves have divided the player base from the casual player to the wanna be stat crunching mythic raiders. Mythic+ players have a moderately smaller pool for a mode that has just increased in difficulty since the stat squish.
Players who aren’t happy with how a keystone is progressing will drop the group as soon as one wipe or mistake happens.
The currency token to upgrade heroic track items are either from heroic raiding or a minimum at +4 key, which has lead to many players who relied on bountiful delves for gear are at a stand still in their gearing journey.
Steady style flying (old world) requires an achievement which is locked behind finishing the zone stories, not ideal for anyone who is afflicted with motion sickness or don’t prefer dragon riding.
Not intending to sound rude, but is this your first WoW expansion experience?
This is also a RP server, so please, tell us about your character.
There really has been an influx of off-server traffic lately!
Nah, this expansion is worst than Shadowlands for me. Hate the boring story, hate the boring zones, and the gameplay changes have made all the classes I play not fun at all.
The things I like don’t outnumber the things I do like. It’s ok, but it still feels like a palate cleansing expac because we aren’t even seeing Xal’atath. She dropped in, dunked Dalaran and departed.
That being said, I don’t hate the expac. It’s still ok enough that I’m playing.
I like the expansion.
However, I’m pretty burned out on WoW and cave fatigue is getting to me.
Highest praise is that it’s not Dragon Flight. Also, it’s been fairly fun. Also also, player housing was announced (I know it’s coming next xpac, but still).
shadowlands, dragonflight, and the war within have no teeth when it comes to their stories imo. shadowlands was stupid, dragonflight was just boring, and the war within so far is just like. what’s the issues the dwarves are having, why is xalatath here.
I do like the weaver though. let’s go lesbian bugs
I think Asta is in the 10,000 years banned club, but she mentioned in Discord that the Widow might have taken up the Title because she thought that Neferess was dead.
If you haven’t gone into the little tavern at the back of the Rebel Nerubian fortress after doing the climax of the zone story, where we fight Xala’toesies, Neferess and Widow Arak’nai have a very touching moment together.
So glad Blizzard isn’t just using pastels for romance, there’s dark and light, pain and joy together, and its gorgeous to watch.
Do you think the Widow is a traditionalist and that’s why she was sad?
No, it’s nowhere near the best expansion.
It’s adequate for a video game. The first raid was pretty good.
As an avid fan of the Burning Crusade and Mists of Pandaria, I wouldn’t rank The War Within with those two, it was just a different time and better for the things I like to do in the game, so I won’t touch that. What I will give TWW, is that in my opinion it’s fundamentally a lot better than Dragonflight and Shadowlands.
I don’t hate it. I hate shadowlands. Notice that is not in past tense. It is an active hate that will last until the end of time. I quit until dragon flight. I didn’t hate dragon flight either, I just got so damn bored I quit the game for over a year. So, I’m still here so there are bits and pieces that I like. I’ve even made my peace with dragon flying, it still sucks and I’m still not good at it - but there are benefits.
So TWW is a firm, eh it could be worse, with me.
