Personally, I assumed it was just going to be using the Legion infernal mount rig. I didn’t expect them to build something new for it. There’s nothing wrong with the mount we got, though (other than how silly your character looks bouncing around on it while moving). But awkward mounting positions is nothing new for WoW. I still don’t know how any character would ride a cloud serpent on a full stomach.

it’s fine but i’ve got tons of mounts i’d rather use. i’d guess most people are in the same boat. er, tree.

its a shame that our votes really didnt matter, they justt made people think it did. They rigged the voting and changed it into there favor

People usually bring up that point though. That you have a mount skeleton skin that comes from a harder variant of content (lets say for instance late February/early march faceless one serpent). But then that serpent model gets trivialized with some aloof person getting a mail muncher on their first opening back in January.
How is that any different than just being lucky with a green protodrake vs the effort (at the time) to get the plagued/black?
All these different colors coming from different sources will inevitably have an easier coloration at some point, thus perceivably bringing down the value of the whole skin/skeleton.
I think if blizz were to revert back to colorations not undermining others they would have to go back to at least tbc like they did with all those mounts. With skeletons clearly locked behind a certain rep/type of content.
I voted for the Tree and it won people’s Vote. I watched the Voting Event and the forums then. The Tree was more popular. Get over it.

I use all my ground mounts at the beginning of expacs when we have a year before we get to fly.
I’d use it more but I’m one of three people who also like the new cheetah form…
I enjoy it. Doesn’t fit through doors fly, so doesn’t see much use.
But despite it’s “free” status, it is a pretty cool mount.
And so is the other mounts. There are gazillion mounts to choose. I saw someone used it few weeks ago. Maybe I would use it soon depending on my mood like the rest of the mounts.
