Anytime I try to look any information up on it, it all goes back to classic Hand of Justice. I have no idea how to tell if it’s any good?
My Ret Paladin got one at champion level from a cache.
Back in the day it was amazing for melee and more recently SoD added prot paladins to that list. Thanks to damage profiles back an extra melee attack was nice but the real benefit was the attack could proc weapon effects/talents. Also most pre raid trinkets were kinda meh so this one stood out.
Now it’s hard to say, there isn’t as much reliant on pure melee attacks and classes get so many other procs it’s just wild.
Your best bet is to sim it unfortunately.
I genuinely do not know how to do that. I’ve never been big in the simming scene… I’m just trying to figure out if the fast attack proccs a Ret paladin’s auto crusader strike. X_x
My paladin has the broodsack and the mastery crystal trinket, which are apparently S-Teir for them according to online guides, but no one’s updated anything for 11.0.5
It’s not too difficult though it requires some setting up.
Googling Raidbots sim - the first link is the site but you would also need an addon to export the data.
Curseforge has the addon “Simulationcraft”
I googled how to sim your wow character and several youtubers show up, I can’t say which are good but if you’d like to learn it’s there for sure.
Going by what you have it’s likely your current trinkets are better but that’s a guess on my part.

It’s likely. Yes, just both I have are vertan path cause I haven’t gotten anything better so they are capped at 606 where the hand of justice could hit 619 due to being a Champion teir.
I will poke around then.
Ahh I didn’t consider the ilvl/track difference. It could be better based on that alone. I haven’t played ret in years so I have no idea how they work now.
Might be worth asking in the paladin section, not sure how much traffic it gets but I have a feeling there are people there that could help much more. The rogue forum is mostly dead but there are people there always around to answer questions.

Sim it like the other guy said, but honestly, it’s a flat damage proc, like a LOT of unique BRD loot. I don’t think modern WoW plays very nice with flat damage procs. Secondary Stats scale everything you do. A flat proc is just a flat proc.
I think they intentionally didn’t want BRD Loot to be BiS over existing TWW Drops.
Switched to a current expansion trinket. It procced often but the damage was pretty miniscule.
It is potentially nice on enhancement shaman.
