It’s actually amusing at just how entirely out of touch they are with all that’s going on.

Why discontinue the items? Pretty certain they’ve never done that in the history of the game, but now suddenly they’re doing it? Seems like a desperate attempt to get some more MTX purchases.

I wonder why they would retire game store items?

Perhaps to create a sense of urgency for players to spend more cash?

  • Items in the See You Later Bundle will enter hibernation on January 6, 2019 and will no longer be available in the Blizzard® Shop or in-game shop (until further notice). These items may return at some point in the future.

They’re not retiring the items. It’s like the Disney Vault.

Isn’t the last quarterly check up of the year happening soon?

Blizzard choosing, out of the blue, to retire store items could start a customer rush which will give them that little increase in numbers to flex.
