I just finished this storyline where the Forsaken retake Lordaeron. It was not as bad as the Gilneas Reclamation story. In THAT one I felt pretty much like teats on a boar hog, as they say, for the whole thing. In the Forsaken story, they at least wait to saddle me with an NPC who does all the heavy lifting until the very last fight.
What was the point of my character even being there for these things? Lillian Voss followed me around and in every fight with an elite my attacks would barely scratch them, only for her to one-shot them one after the other.
Can they at least have the OP NPC be an OPTION for these stories? I had flashbacks to playing D&D in high school where the GM would always saddle us with a similar wet-dream NPC who did everything and the players were just kind of passive observers while he played a kind of solitaire.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like this is just the worst kind of RPG story telling?
