Is the Razer Naga the most popular mouse in the arena community?

you’re one of maybe 5 people i’ve ever heard say good things about that mouse which is why i’ve never tried it tbh

Odd I have had one for 4 years still going bought a spare on sale ab 2 years ago still sitting in box.

Had my naga since like 2011 still going strong I bough a scimitar when they were released and the software ticked me off to the point I almost threw it out the window idk if they fixed that yet but I had to have the software going in the back ground to use my keybinds super annoying

I’ve heard the older ones are more durable. So, it’s good if you got an early version.

But, for me, they only lasted a year. I went through a few of them before I decided I should stop rewarding a company for making less durable products.

Logitech G600, bigger mouse, bigger buttons on the side, much heavier and soooo much tougher!

Ive gone through like 8 razer trinitys in the last 5 years. My keybind choice destroys them. Things break constant

Corsair scimitar is really good

You’re 1 of 1 person I’ve ever seen that said or claimed to hear anything negative about them to be honest. Genuinely. I’m super surprised to read this.

i have a buddy who’s big into hardware and has run through every MMO mouse that has and does exist and he spoke higher of the Scimitar from Corsaire than he did of the logitech and he still thinks the naga is just better

i trust his judgement, but he isn’t the only one i’ve heard

as i said, i haven’t personally tried it, and i’d be willing to hear a positive review from someone that wasn’t making money off of a sponsorship to provide it lol

That’s just so strange to me. It’s definitely not as popular and I attribute that to razer’s name. I originally got it because it was available as part of a rewards program for an old job I had and I was like wow, this is good. And I’ve just kept it ever since.

Over the years, I’ve since seen nagas and read various reviews and testimonies and all that and I’ve heard countless… literally countless testimonies of the naga’s abysmal longevity. It’s just complete crap apparently and I’m always so confused why people keep using them. The G600 to me is more ergonomic feeling, it feels heavier and like it’s of a higher durability, it has this matte kind of feel to it if that makes sense and… I don’t know. It just feel like a naga but better and the software is great. Mine has literally worked perfectly for over a decade lol.

Razer is great if you’re being sponsored by them but the actual periphs just feel cheap ( IMO ).

:woman_shrugging:

yes this still holds true. my friend justifies this by saying he buys one every year or so just as a precaution and writes it off as a business expense. i suppose when that is an option, it doesn’t matter as much.

i like the idea of a heavier mouse. i don’t know if you’ve ever held an Xbox Elite controller, but it’s quite a bit heavier than a traditional controller which i absolutely love. just feels more comfortable.

i’ll see if i can order a G600 and give it a try. worst case, i can return it.

I thought I was alone on this. Surprised to find out how many people have had similar issues.

I do have an elite series 2 and it’s actually very much like that. It just doesn’t feel like hollow plastic. I mean if the elite controller is like 60% heavier, I’d say this would be like 40%. It is just a mouse after all but it also feels, texture wise, (not dissimilar to the controller again) more premium.

I mean all in all even if it was identical in ergonomics and feel and usability and all that… at least it doesn’t die every year. And it’s not an expensive mouse either. I don’t know why more people don’t use it honestly. Plus the buttons are a little bigger I think which is a plus. Still have the 12 on the side plus all mouse wheel directions and also an additional button where the ring finger lies that when depressed makes all 12 side buttons able to be re macrod. It acts like a modifier so to speak so there’s really 24 pre sets in the side buttons.

wtf you guys doing to your mouses?

I have a WoW Cata Molten Naga and it still works fine and that games about to come out again as classic version.

Couldn’t replace it for the longest time cos new nagas had the two buttons behind scrollwheel instead of off of the left click which I don’t like. Thankfully they released one not that long ago called hyperspeedv2.0 or something that has them back on the left side so I got one of them. It hasn’t broken yet.

I have the cheap trinity one and it’s lasted me two years no sign of failure in sight I want to upgrade to the v2 pro at some point

pvp loss grip of rage is the mouse killer

Also Logitech g600 for mmo is a really safe bet, i swaped to G502 because it have weights that let you make the mouse heavier which worked better for me.

I use Swiftpoint Z. They made tracer now. Pretty cool mouse

g600 and have used some red dragon ones. The gshift key is amazing as it can be used as your alt modifier.

Hopefully, something of a refresh gets made but not holding my breath.

Holycow’s got the right rec

Invest in redragon or utechsmart, I’m still using one in year 3 and they’re dirt cheap
