I just hit level 60 on an alt. The Dragon Isles quest didn’t show up? Is it removed in this update?
You might need to talk to Chromie.
1 - 70 is chromie time now i believe.
The default levelling experience is now dragonflight.
So hitting 60 wont trigger the quest.
Talk to her to change what timeline youre questing in if you want to go there.
Chromie says Queen Alexstrasza is calling dragon flights home to Dragon Isles. We need help… There is no quest or no option change time lines. I can take a portal to Valdrakken, but you don’t meet up with Wrathion and get those first quests.
Maybe they just borked it
It wouldnt be the only thing that doesnt work this prepatch
Well this isn’t fun.
On my Alliance characters, the quests were in Stormwind Keep where you can find Wrathion, I think for the Horde side it is near the Cataclysm portals where you start it.
I’m Alliance. I’ve gone to Dragon Isles with 3 chars so far. Usually, when you ding 60 and log off and on again, a quest shows up to meet in Stormwind and that where you meet Wrathion. Then you recruit a few npc’s and take a boat to Dragon Isles where you meet up with Wrathion again and start questing in the Waking Shores. But no quest shows up a level 60 now. I took a portal to Valdrakken and flew to Waking Shores, but none of the first quests are available. I don’t want to mess up the chain if this is some kind of bug. Blizzards release notes say nothing about changes in quests.
I had to speak to Wrathion in SW Keep to start the quests.
Yes, that’s how it usually starts. The quest usually appears after you reach lvl 60 and long off and on again. It tells you to meet someone ( forget who) and he introduces you to Wrathion. But now it isn’t showing up. I took the portal to Valdrakken and there’s a quest showing up over Queen Alexstrasza. The exclamation points are transparent - like I’ve missed a step. I’m not taking any of those because I know its going to mess up the chain. Why do they have to do this? Leave well enough alone. Getting the dragon riding glyphs was a fun part of the game so they take it out.
They were changed from level 60 to level 10 as it is now where new players are sent after the 1-10 intro experience. The intro quest NPCs were moved a bit to accommodate the fact that a level 10 doesn’t have a flying mount.
If they make changes to important quests lie getting to Dragon Isles, why not put that in the release notes?
No, that introductory quest doesn’t pop up anymore. You can still speak to Wrathion directly to get the intro quests that lead you to taking the boat to Dragon Isle.
Where is he? The usual spot in SW Keep?
Yes
/10char
I’ll try that.
I did it yesterday on a level 70 because without doing the campaign quests in Waking Shores, some world quests wouldn’t appear for me.
It was in there:
Dragonflight content is now the new default leveling experience for levels 10 to 70 (was Battle for Azeroth).
That works. Thanks!
I think that is just a bug that’s giving you issues. You should be able to enable/disable Chromie Time until level 70 but I think that is currently bugged. Dragon Isles is one of the options, which would push the quest to you in much the same way that being level 60 did in the past.
