I wanted to get this mount but I never did any SL content on this toon, I just bought a DF boost and went straight to that content.
It looks like I need Stygia and rep from the Maw, is it easier now in DF and is it worth going back for this mount?
Not sure how easy or hard it is to get.
Just blast through Torghast and get the shadehound mount from there.
yes and if you have time to do Torghast get a mount and some toys and mogs
it is a lot easy to do at ilvl 385-390
Wait the Torghast one looks really interesting, how does that one work? I am still on the Bastion story mission for my main since it skipped him through SL in the boost.
torghast is a rogue like dungeon its 5-6 areas per floor just go in kill stuff clear rooms ect for a better score
and you have if i remember 9 floors/areas
Can I get to it without finishing the whole SL campaign?
Yes, there’s a skip available. You only need to complete chapter 2 of your covenant campaign, then speak with Bolvar in Oribos.
if you have not unlocked it then head to the main hub and see a quest is there
if unlocked it then no. no need to finish the sl areas
When they say Torghast, they mean Twisting Corridors.
It’s 18 floors of fun and games.
Back in the day, it took 2-3 hours to do, and you have to do it all at once.
You also have to do it 8 times, since each level is unlocked by defeating the earlier level.
I would like to think it’s much faster now, but it is still a lot of running. You just don’t have to worry about getting killed.
Is that faster than collecting the motes and stuff in the Maw? Boy, that’s hard to say. I’ve heard folks can farm it up in a few hours in the Maw. In that case, the Maw would be faster than TC. But TC would be more deterministic. That’s just Work™.
I love the Maw, I liked it from the beginning when it was a real pain in the neck, it’s one of my top zones in all of WoW. Many feel I should be put in a rubber room holding that opinion.

torghast is the only place to get the shoulder mogs so kill 2 birds with one stone
Should be fine with level 70 with some blues and purples.
