How do you all feel? I was looking at metrics for our guild and only 5 out of 47 active members are maxed with Ve’nari reputation. People talk about how much they hate the Maw but when you see the data to back up those claims its quite alarming. I am only maxed out with Ve’nari because I lean more to that min-max playstyle and need those sockets and conduits. Besides that, I can’t stand the place. It’s like when you play a phone game for 15 minutes a day, long past its life, just to keep the rewards coming in even though you hate every moment of it. I can only imagine what Blizzard is thinking when they look at the data.

I have the mount for the place and still avoid it like the plague, once a week for the souls quest and then get the hell out of there.

I’ll take the maw over the AP systems of Legion/BFA any day. I have seen quite a few people who enjoyed the maw, I don’t know many people who enjoyed the several grindy systems in the past 2 expansions.

Timeless Isle though you could wander around for hours having fun or doing objectives. The maw is just bad lol.

Have not been to the Maw since getting renown 40. I will only go back if the rep is required for flying.

Getting to just revered, you can upgrade all of your conduits pretty quickly with stygia.
If i didn’t want the anima or soul ash I wouldn’t enter the maw and I am a druid. The rewards are garbage and there is no reason to be in the zone.

I think the big problem is how metered it is, with the eye-of-jailer rising so rapidly and how obtaining the mount is fairly difficult unless you are a torgast-ezmode class
like if I want stiyg currency or to do stuff there, it’s 1000% less fun to do some metered task every single day versus doing it when I feel like for as long as I feel like

No. I think the most disliked content in WoW is the Occulus dungeon in Wrath. Every time it was the daily heroic, people were memeing “aw, there is no daily dungeon today.”

Its honestly much more tolerable after obtaining a maw mount. However, perdition hold can be dreadful if not a stealth user.

Occulus at least was fun with the first play through and afterwards was snooze fest and repetitive.
The maw isn’t fun from start to finish. Just bad. Bad.

As of Blizzcon all you will need for flying in Arden Weald , Bastion ,Revendreth and Maldraxxus is completing the 9.1 covenant campaign .
Oh and that will be happening in the Maw and the new zone they are connecting to the Maw. The good news is in 9.1 our mounts will be useable in the Maw.

Occulus was disliked due to how difficult it was to PUG it (Or later in Wrath, through the Dungeon Finder). A lot of people really liked the Dungeon. They just disliked running it with people that didn’t understand how to use the dragon vehicles. And today, where so many of the player base is unfamiliar with it, I won’t consider staying for a second when it pops up as a random in leveling or during timewalking.
