I have been waiting on part 9/9 for about a week now. I am currently renown 25, 22, 24, 27 going down the list. For part 8/9 it said in my quest log to raise Dragonscale Expedition renown to 24 to continue the story. But now it just says Raise your Renown with the Major Factions to continue.
Been trying to search all day if the quest is out and if not when it will be, but cant find anything. The last chapter being named “The Spark of Ingenuity” does not help search results as it just brings up results pertaining to obtaining your first spark.
The previous quests were marked in the renown menu as a reward for reaching milestones but i do not see part 9/9 as a reward for raising renown any further.

I’m guessing this is time gated. Now I’m 25, 25, 30, 30. I got Dragonscale last, and I’m still stuck at 8/9.

Damn… how? I’m just about 20 on all of them and I’ve been very active. That’s crazy!
I just got to max rep on everything today and did the weekly quest and all after the reset and it’s still telling me I need more rep with the factions to do the last chapter… I’m like umm… HOW???

I’m currently 8/9 but “The Spark of Ingenuity” part is not checked off and would be my 9/9. The only message I have is the same “raise your renown with other major factions…”. I have the BTW addon and have completed everything under the spark of ingenuity section.
Am I missing something? or am I in the same boat as everyone else.

“The Sparks of Ingenuity” is almost certainly tied to…Sparks of Ingenuity.
There are 5 trials picked up in Valdrakken, but they are time gated to one every other week. The 4th trial (complete Halls of Infusion) just opened after reset this week, so there are 2 more weeks until the last trial.

That’s the info I was looking for thanks. I figured this is the case. Do we have any idea what happens after being 9/9 of the campaign?
We don’t have many specifics, but 10.0.7 is adding content to the Forbidden Reach, presumably that includes story content. That’s likely dropping in March, and the devs said we would know what 10.1 had to be by the end of that.
10.0.5 has “Primalist Future” content, but as far as I know none of it has been tested. So, we don’t know if that’s just extra World Quests or something more significant.
I’m going to assume you’ll need to complete the “In Tyr’s Footsteps” achieve, in order to get the 9th storyline for the Dragonflight Campaign. Which means it is time-locked, as each of the quests have been unlocking every two weeks since the launch of Dragonflight.
Right now you can do:
“Lock and Shock”
“First Challenge: Finesse”
“Second Challenge: Might”
“Third Challenge: Persistence”
“Fourth Challenge: Resourcefulness”
…but the rumors say the “Fifth Challenge: Ingenuity” won’t unlock until Jan. 23rd; this tuesday’s reset.
…as for the last item to complete the achieve is “Innovation Complete”, that quest might not unlock until Feb. 7th; maybe, perhaps?
By then the initial DGF release content is officially complete, and have to wait for the 10.1 patch to carry on the next chapter of this expansion.
I am currently stuck because I need renown 19 I think? I am at like 14. I don’t care about rep. Gate keeping a questline behind it is stupid.

Yeah, that’s how they get you.
But if you’re doing the bare minimum rep grinding for the sake of story, you just need:
Dragonscale Expedition: Renown 13 and 24
Maruuk Centaur: No Renown needed.
Iskaara Tuskarr: Renown 11
Valdrakken Accord: Renown 12 and 19

Good to know. I barely do anything for rep. I do the weekly quest, and the 2 dungeon quests, + my raid rep tokens but that’s about it
Finished the last Tyr quest this week and still at 8/9. It must be something else we need.
Mine is 9/9 now after the 5th quested Spark of Ingenuity.
