Is the capstone knowledge point for "Plethora of Ore" bugged?

I’ve had the Bismuth branch of Plethora of Ore maxxed since probably week 2 of the expansion. The branches in this tree capstone with the ore in question “no longer damaging uncovered Null Stones”. The implication of this wording is that the Imperfect Null Stones on that ore will be replaced 1:1 with whole stones.

However, in weeks of mining it seems to me that the drop rate of whole Null Stones is SIGNIFICANTLY less than getting 5 Imperfect Null Stones, considering I’ve gotten more whole ones mining the Imperfect ones from Ironclaw.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I run mining on my alt, same experience. got the node expecting to see some returns, null stones became more rare in turn.
