AS the title states, when I logged in on Classic, I saw Classic Era, SOD and Anniversary. Curious if this is for the new fresh servers.
Thanks,
Chris

Anniversary Server opened on November 21st
Just noticed that myself. There was a single PVP realm listed and two normal so one of those will be the hardcore realm. Only explanation that makes sense to me.
That’s fairly obvious…
Perhaps it wasn’t as obvious to the person who asked the question that I was responding to otherwise they likely wouldn’t have asked.
It’s not though. They may have decided to start with two normal realms and haven’t added the hardcore realm. Probably less likely, but the situation isn’t fairly obvious….
I wonder when the servers come back online today after maintenance, will you be able to make a character and try and reserve a name if those servers on the anniversary tab are open but you wont be able to enter world until the 21st?
Was thinking about that myself. It would be great to be able to reserve names ahead of time. If not, may the fastest fingers/hooves win.
It is though.
Name res wont be happening. They would have announced it ahead of time so everyone could be online to reserve a name. Itll be first come first serve.
That’s a very good point. I can practically hear the complaints from folks who were taken by surprise and were unable to reserve their name if Blizzard didn’t announce anything ahead of time.
The backlash would be massive.
It is tho… they removed the hardcore tab and are blending in HC with the other servers.
Name reservations are dumb, thats why they stopped doing them.
I’m not sure where to ask this… when you open battle.net and select which version of WoW, it would be Classic, correct? Sorry for the silly question. :3
That is correct.
This is not classic plus. They are fresh eras realms with a few quality of life additions like instant mail to yourself, dual spec, and a removal on the debuff cap for bosses. It will also go to TBC. After that, no one knows but lots of people hope it becomes a perma TBC server.
