It’s a large mass, with a huge circumference, and wide reaching roots. There was a fair amount of top soil in the bough of the tree to buffer the inner core.
Much smaller trees survive intense, prolonged forest fires, and survive.
What are possible future uses for the Teldrassil zone given that it is possible the tree is still alive, and there for can be revamped at a later date.
Lordaeron being another valuable asset, as well as Gilneas. But I reserve those for separate discussion threads.
Well, Teldrassil had a hard outer shell of Night Elf starting zone, with a soft inner core of corruption. Who can say what state its in? For all we know it could randomly rise up and march upon Orgrimmar! We should torch it in more fire, to be sure. For safety!
I dunno. I just imagine it would be horrible to return to it after what happened. So many gone and the memory of that day. Imagine living there and that happens. As a night elf I wouldn’t want to go back because it would never be the same. I’d rather the Druids come together once more and grow a new tree.
Probably not all the way dead. I guess it was also blessed by the dragons so maybe it could regrow if it is still alive. Alexstraza and nozdormu blessed it I think. I wonder if that still matters if they lost their powers.
Nozdormu was the only Aspect that didn’t bless it, which is why elves didn’t reacquire their immortality the way became immortal after Nordrassil was blessed by all the Aspects. But it did receive Ysera’s blessing. And she is tied somehow to the Pantheon of Life even if remotely through Elune.
Alot of trees that have destructive crown fires ike Teldrassil will survive by sprouting up from their roots. The trunk and everything else is useless now and will just be a stand until it falls over inevitably.
