They literally have 2 specs that do that. One is pure Ranged. Other uses Pets.

Mage and Warlock have 3 ranged specs. Why’s it only a problem when Hunter did it?

Besides; 3 ranged specs for Hunter worked out fine for over a decade. You keep using hypotheticals but we have a history of ranged Survival that tells us how it could work out today.

Survival isn’t going back to Ranged as that’s not the vision Blizzard has for it. They want Survival to represent Rexxar - a Melee Hunter. So it’s pointless to talk about whether it should be Ranged or not since Blizzard wants it to be Melee. Instead we should be talking about how to make it work as Melee and its problems as Melee.

No. It’s a stupid direction that will only result in failure. If they want to stubbornly cling to it they can enjoy the dumpster fire. It’s not worth any time or discussion.

Survival Hunter is like licorice. Most people just don’t like it. That’s fine. A few people really like it though. Luckily there’s 2 other very popular flavors to choose from.
