Is Survival hunter the worse M+ spec in the game?
Personally for me i spend hours in LFG getting declined because of my spec, even when i do get into group i have to work so hard to barely keep up with dps classes that press 3 buttons and double my dps with 10ilvls less, im brought to groups to bring lust most of the time or an offensive dispell not because my spec does good damage
I know on warcraft logs survival seems to be doing ok in some raids but in M+ it seems to be at the bottom.
My wonder is IF we will get any buffs before TWW to help our spec or has blizz forgotten us completely, are we the new frost dk? just going to be seasons of nonstop no love
What are your experiences playing Survival in keys/raid and your thoughts and feelings about it
No joke I started putting “Believe in the Surv Hunter” in my tag when applying, gets a laugh when I immediately say “I won’t let you down boss o7” upon joining.
This season just has us in a weird spot due to the tier set vote not really helping us across all types of content, and it not being buffed anymore than it was left us forced to use S3 to do good damage in AoE.
In my experience of doing 7-10 keys in S3 gear I can keep up in damage or lead the pack consistently, but I have to play smart with where I use defensives. Going higher would probably require a team that wants you to be there.
6 weeks in I have resigned to there being no further changes and will happily end the season on KSH ^.^
Personally I have little issues with getting invited to groups. I have an alright Io, which helps me with credibility. However, the issue I personally face is my damage, especially when teaming with big pumpers like ret, sp, or dh. The number difference is gigantic. At times, I can stand out due to CD+ [Storm-Eater’s Boon], but beyond that, it is not pretty. What bothers me the most is that Surv is not great at anything, our AoE is questionable, our single target is meh (can be good sometimes), but outside Bloodlust (an ability that is not exclusive) and Tranq shot, we are cooked.
Is not looking good. Along with Fury warrior, alffic lock. All three spec is really bad.
For fury is actually better to use S3 4p and upgrade everything else. You do more damage than if you use S4 4p lol.
As a Survival hunter that just gave up and remained to a aff lock I can say from experience that SV is so far behind Aff it is a joke. 100k plus overall easy.
but Aff is also terrible in M+ I do way more damage as a demo lock

SV is so awesome it does top damamge in M+, raid, pvp and 5 v 5. They have a LoH every 10sec, 500% leech from damamge and 5 AoE stuns and interup with no CD. Not sure what you are talking about /s
I used to play SV hunter for fun if I get bored with BM. Now I don’t even play it. Is just trolling at this point. Even iN LFR I don’t even use it.
