The difference is I’m usually right and he’s usually wrong.
They say the exact same. I think Toxi completes you, and you missed them that you dug up this post just to get their attention.
Survival just has lots of unique buttons and has a answer to everything. The only problem i have with it is its a melee spec.
Wild fire bombs are fun so are all the traps and harpoon mixed with disengage.
I have been having a blast with Survival in PVP, finally got full Aspirant. It’s hard to put exact reasons for my enjoyment and it is not without flaws.
I think I like that there’s a lot of little synergies that make each aspect of game play like a little mini-game. The Capstone talents have felt pretty worthless and the identity of the spec could use a little work however. The bulk of my “I feel powerful” moments are big Mongoose Bite or Kill Shot crits.
It’s like they still know at some level it’s meant to be about resourcefulness but they can’t let go of the unwelcome and ill-fitting melee aspect.
Yea now we have one bow spec while having multiple melee pet specs and range pet specs.
Survival isnt going anywhere thry invested too much into it now.
They remake it so often they’re routinely throwing away hundreds of hours of work anyway so I say why not remake it into something we know will stick.
I dont think blizzard can design specs that well anymore imo. Class trees a spec trees are a good gage at that
When are you not? You didnt stir anything, just comes across like I run through your mind non stop. I dont think of you unless I see your name here. You apparently practice conversations in the mirror.
Because I wasn’t? Besides, when have you? You constantly get ratio’d.
That reflection in the mirror is very clean isnt it?
We do. I think thats what frightens him if im being honest here.
Thats an opinion thats lost alot of merit over the last year.
He loves me. Im pretty sure this gives his life meaning having a rival. Like hes blocked me, and if he really didnt want to hear from me, he wouldnt of did this, stalk me, continue commenting on post in response to me etc. This is why we should make that podcast and shoot the sh!t. It would be funny
This would actually be entertaining. two opposites arguing over a spec. Think of Siskel and Ebert.
I would be civil about it. But I have no issues with others having opposing view points. At this point (I dont wanna sound cocky or whatever but I think it might be true?) Everyone here knows about us, what our war has been, blah blah blah. I think he would be completely down for it if he could get himself together. In all realness I think me and him would actually get along well as we are both probably the most passionate about the spec. Could be fun.
i guarantee if SV was still ranged it would have been ruined by now. they narrowed a whole archer class down to 1 spec and can’t even make that one enjoyable.
I enjoyed Survival somewhat in Legion. I find since SL it has an incredibly clunky and visually unappealing (to be fair, this more than anything, probably is what makes it feel “clunky” to me) rotation. But, to each their own.
I still think Beast Master should have become the melee class. Not sure what I’d have done with Survival, but I despise BM as well due to most of its power having to rely on pets. I think Survival is a better BM than BM as it is. Might have been quite special if it was designed to be the actual BM.
Sadly, that is one of SV’s issues right now, regardless of the Ranged/Melee argument. They both are aspects of Hunters as a whole but it’s aspects that one Spec should represent. Although I personally like the possible direction of SV and BM being pet-derivative, it’d probably be better for it to be more gadgety and physical in nature.
I wouldn’t mind if they had 1 range, 1 melee and the last to be a ranged if a Hybrid can’t be made. SV is sort of that Hybrid right now, but it’s been in prototype phase for 3-4 expansions now XD
This would mean we would be down to 1 true ranged spec. Hard pass.
They need to add “Bepples complaining that Survival is no longer ranged” to the phrase Nothing is certain except death and taxes.
I actually really enjoy Dragonflight SV in AoE (I can’t even quite say the same for BM, and none of the Hunter specs are interesting to me in ST this time around), but I can’t disagree with that take on its visuals.
I don’t think any of them should have been forced towards melee, but I wouldn’t mind melee being the majority of time spent on a given build of SV (when hyper-optimizing and there’s not so much fan-swept crud going on that one really needs the extra range) and a situational boon on BM.
To me, Hunter should have been the true jack of all trades, able to capitalize on either end of relative mobility — unable to be pushed out of uptime (via range) or just true speed (dash-strikes, sprints, self-yeets). Naturally, MM would see only one side of that, just as BM should be required to make use of pets and SV to make use of layered tools (in whatever form they may take).
