Mythic Antorus and Tomb can’t solo’d easily because the hidden buff is not present or configured properly.
My question is, has Blizzard formally commented on the “3 expansions back” soloing of old raids being the new standard, or has it just been happenstance and “let the chips fall where they may”?
For me, soloing old raids is a major contributing factor to why I play. I am hoping that at level 70 things will be different, and easier, with BFA raids.

I mean, obviously when you’re level 70 and ilvl 320+, BfA raids will be easier. But they definitely will not be soloable. Maybe certain classes on normal/heroic might be able to but certainly not mythic. And of course there’s always bosses like mythic ghun that remain impossible to down even with 10 players due to pugs never understanding the same time ball dunk mechanic. Mythic Jaina will also be impossible due to the infinite stun. There are probably similar problems with Nyalotha but I’m less familiar with that raid due to it being too difficult for pugs even now.
I’d expect blizz will have to delete/heavily nerf a few mechanics here and there in the future like they did with Legion raids.
Certain mechanics will always be present to make some fights unsoloable - or at least super tricky for some classes, like Eonar Mythic.
They never changed Blast Furnace to not “require” a priest to MC an add, but we now do so much damage that we can just crush through their resistances. That last bit is really the stance Blizzard takes. Keep things as is until people do so much damage it stops being a problem.
There are still a lot of fights that will MC you, perma stun you, auto kill you, or simply reset constantly if you just pull the boss and stand there.

Tomb is easily solo’d on mythic. You just need to know how the orbs work on Kil’ Jaden. Avatar might be a dps check if your gear isn’t great.
Antorus…I haven’t tried in awhile. Totally gonna try today now.
Edit: I’m sleepy.

The problem with AbT is whatshisface 2nd last boss I think will still punt you if you fail the DPS check. Similar deal with ToS with Avatar destroying all the platforms. At 250ilvl I was not able pass the DPS check before melting.
I’m not familiar enough with warlocks to give any advice, but for avatar specifically, you shouldn’t use any CD’s before falling into the fel area. You can also soak the green swirlies, giving you some additional time.
On this toon, I just pop lust and beastial wrath (and wild spirits if I’m night fae) after you drop down and he’s dead in a few seconds.
Have you tried using drums for a mini lust?

I think all raids should be soloable as soon as any given expansion is over, remove the mechanics that make solo’s rough and turn the legacy content buff on. At the end of the day, there’s no need to try and preserve the integrity of the content, that went out the window as soon as the next raid tier hit… just let people farm mog/mounts and be happy?

No, they both can be pretty easily solo’d.
The borrowed power (starting with Legion this seems to have changed how expansion resets affect power)

Three expansions is probably when you can start killing all bosses before mechanics matter, but if you follow mechanics you can solo all Legion raids now. For Eonar you need to be fast enough to handle the crystals and get back to clean up the trash, and for Aggramar you either need to beat the dps check or be able to recover from getting punted.
Mythic Tomb and Antorus are both soloable though…
I haven’t tried it since 230ish ilvl, but I was able to duo up until the gold golem boss in bfa’s BoD.
I bet if I got a character to 290-300 with tier I could probably get the same distance now solo.
Legion is alright but some bosses are a pain due to mechanics
