Or rising? I’ve noticed not as many world buffs dropping on wild growth last week it was 1 a minute now maybe 1 every half hour
It peaked in p3 at 310,000.
Its currently at 84,000 and will mostly likely decline next population update.
We’re up to 83k.
…down from 496k.
more people have completed the quests.
the more people who level alts and continue playing will see more buffs. But it will probably end up being a more timed thing compared to the spam of buffs going out.
SoD is still alive and well, I have friends coming back to play P4 who quit in p2 or p3.
Ded game…Had so much potential
When a small private server team does classic+ better and f2p, its doomed to fail.
SoD team is being handicapped by sharing the same client and having too many products on their hands.
Population falling is what happens to every video game over time lol
I mean a lot of people starting to raid log, too, as well as people enjoying summer (myself included).
All I have to say is this season is x10 better than SOM.
Holy, that’s really good 83k still after months of slow seasonal content? really outdid themselves
Blame yourselves. The toxic community with their parse culture on a 20 year old game drove me and all my friends out. Blizzards incompetence played a part but not as much as the community.
I love pretty numbers but the community is really bad I dont blame ya
it has peaked
it’s ogre for SoD(ead)
cue the copers to say “I’m still having fun”
for retail players maybe
If it’s dead, why do you continue to post? SOD seems to really make you miserable.
It’s because UBRS is stupidly easy and everyone has most likely turned that in already. Not that you actually need it.
Definitely falling
Total bs, parse culture is annoying but not that bad. Blizzard is what is annoying…… call me crazy but I get annoyed WAYYY more by the incompetence of a company rather than parts of a community. I raised with dimzlive in phase 3, that dude went ballistic on pugs and several people including myself left that group. Now he’s a streamer and whatever the reason he was acting that way, none of my business, but I moved along with my day and week and continued playing back then. If you’re saying it drove you and your friends away, are you really saying that you and like 5 other people couldn’t find spots in groups because you should’ve been making the groups yourselves…? Or how many people are we talkin here. If you can’t handle sifting through the bad discord calls to find that good group, why are you on wow at all? It’s not that hard to say “ok I don’t vibe with yall have a good one” and find another group? I’m a doom and gloomer but your math isn’t mathing.
Now when we talk about blizzard, yeah every ball has been dropped since the focus was shifted to cata.
People did the quests on their characters, so less will happen. they are 1 time things, per character.
You also do not need to do the ony attunement on your alts unless you want a quest item. You can just use the BOA neck.
Long as the 496k isn’t taken from P1, then that’s a pretty drastic change. P1 raiding numbers aren’t a fair comparison considering no other versions of the game had content lol the population has slowly been trickling down but SoD is far from dead. Anyone who actually thinks it is, should defo get their eyes checked.
I did apples to apples. I used IFpro’s data for SoD, which gets its data from WCL entries.
Even if SoD has always only had ~80k and those 80k had 6 alts being played during P1; for 480k total raiders. A drop back to 80k would mean those players are now only bothering to play 1 character.
80k that are only ‘raid logging’ is not good for any MMO.
But we can also infer this to not be the case because there’s already been two server mergers, Chaos Bolt and…I think…Lava Lash (??). And those two, again, I think, were RP Servers. And it’s pretty bad when the game is driving away the RPers; they tend to be the most devoted to a game.
