Bro I’ve been playing MMORPGs since 1998 Ultima Online lmao. I never said my first WoW experience was 2019 I’m saying I’ve been on Classic since it started.
P1 was pretty content rich between BFD and Ashenvale PvP/Rune acquisition.
SoD didn’t feel bad until PvP died in P2.
That said, killing premades helped that happen. Strategic 10v10 games were replaced by Solo main character brains who throw games.
P1 had:
BFD changed into a raid, with I will admit, the most changes out of the 3 raids to make it actually fun to do
12 runes, of which only a fraction were actually used for content
an “event” that was as barebones as a private server one would be. All it was, essentially, was the Spirit Tower TBC /EPL tower with an npc death being the trigger instead of just passively sitting on it. I mean I guess you could call that vanilla since the EPL towers are a thing.
That’s not exactly rich content. It felt bigger than it was, sure, because everything above 26 was hard to kill. But thats not sod being rich in content, thats just the server being timegated at level 25.
It wasn’t killed. Well into P5 it was still possible.
I play every version of WoW I’ve been maining TWW. Since launch they released 2 patches, which combined, don’t have the same level of content p1 SoD had.
They promised they would add a new raid, go back and look at blizzard’s announcement of SoD. But we all know they won’t deliver on it, and if they do it will probably suck. SoD is terrible
