Feels like everything drops chitin… But even more that that… can’t skin in instances… can’t skin in delves (despite there being oodles of ore and herbs…)
Half the things I skin seem to be grey trash. AND YOU GET… 1-2 on average. where you need 50 or more per craft on leatherworking. I have to kill 25-60 mobs… per skill up?..
Wheres my rich leather vein?

It does seem like many of the mobs that you kill for quests no longer provide mats; those areas you would come across in previous expansions where you could just sit & farm leather as much as you wanted while everyone passed through don’t seem to exist this time.

It is pretty bad. Plus it appears you have to skin to get knowledge and aa drops. I am guessing 6 same as dragonflight but even on my low level it is taking me hours to get them. I have gotten 3.

Did they make a change to juvenile lurkers? I was skinning them for chitin before today and now they just drop grey scraps.
It’s hard enough finding some good skins with half the beasts now set aside for mining…now the skinnable mobs aren’t dropping skins?

Ok here’s part of the deal with the weekly knowledge points/artisan acuity acquisition.
From the leather animals.
You get 5 blue toughened tempest pelt for 1 knowledge and 5 artisan acuity each.
Then you get one purple abyssal fur for 2 knowledge and 10 artisan acuity.
btw that took me about 3 hours on low level to get that - next week will be worse.
Now for the chitins…
