Anyways I play many different class not doing hard content mainly LFR and sometimes low m+.
Recently I decided to get my rouge some gear (lvl 410 lish) but when i start doing the quest in the new zone (just the story) I am take a tone of damage. When when my warrior in fury spec or my DH who have a bit of a higher gear (415) I never felt I was in danger of dying or hp never drops much. On my rogue it doesn’t matter what spec I try my hp always drops to a very lot point with CD pop, hp pot used. Damage also seems a bit low?
How did other rouge manage to complete the story or do OW. Sorry I level my rouge through dungeons all the 70 so I never did any quest at all. Even in dungeon I feel my damage is always not up on par with other other class.

Rogues aren’t bad. It’s more like every other classes are just way better. At least that’s what I tell myself.
Rogues are the squishiest class in the game, period. Anyone who says others is just delusional. Combine that with mediocre damage and you have what Blizzard calls the Rogue class.
Having said that, you should be able to manage most of the quests with 410 gear. You just have to play like a rogue. Never pull more that 1 or 2 mobs. Have some friends help with elites or tag along with others who are in the zone.

But o cam pill trash packs just fine on other class…
We’re just talking about the context of like, solo questing, right?

Context doesn’t change what’s in our tool kit. We have what we have.
Deadened Nerves gives 3% passive damage reduction, IF you take the talent. That’s all we have for passive damage reduction. Guess what, 97% of an asswhooping is still an asswhooping. Other classes have all sorts of passive abilities that mitigate damage.
Oh, but we have Evasion and Cloak. That’s 10 seconds and 5 seconds every 2 minutes. Feint? It’s better than nothing, but you have to spam it every 15 seconds. That’s not fun.
I’m not saying rogues can’t get the job done. We just have to put in twice the effort as other classes.

I have no idea what that means.

I dunno, I kinda prefer a more natural look…also it’s cheaper…

Wooooow, way to completely undersell what is arguably the best defensive in the game. Between Cloak, Feint, and Crimson Vial (which you neglected to mention), Rogues are basically the last class healers need to worry about when mobs do their “Big AOE Magic Kabloom.” Possible exception the tank. If we’re talking about dungeons, Rogues are definitely not the squishiest.

They’re also able to simply prevent a lot of damage with vanish (looking at you forgemaster)

All I can say is MY experience as a rogue is different from yours.
As I said, we have the tools to get the job done. But have to work twice as hard. Everyone of those abilities are active abilities. Most other classes have passive mitigation they don’t even have to think about.
And don’t even get me started on PvP. There’s a reason rogues are the first kill target and it’s not because peeps fear their damage.

You think Hunters are squishier than Rogues?
People who don’t even play these classes shouldn’t even speak of them. Your ignorance only hurts everybody.

yes survival hunter, and hunters in general is pretty squishy compared to rogues.

As a rogue in pve I almost never have problems living, if anything I’ve seen us be used more to soak and cheese mechanics than anything. Cheat death, feint, and cloak are all wonderful tools. Then there’s the flipside where rogues get crushed in pvp even through these things sometimes. Without defensives rogues in pvp rogues are as effective as a fish outside of water, we very much so need to be baby sat.
I’d love to see leeching poison reworked into say siphoning X% of your damage into a crimson vial, causing your next vial to heal you instantly for 20-25%. I think getting another talent that modifies vial during stealth would be pretty neat, maybe it provides 10-20% absorb shield? Crimson Vial is a rather underwhelming ability, and should feel like the player is using a potion.
