Where is the competitive bone in everyone. “Just play for fun, and don’t worry about others”. Sometimes the fun is increasing your rank and seeing how much better you are then other people, especially in PvP.
lol, the reason i tried to get rival is because of elite sets and after that i don’t bother playing rated.

It used to require to be within the top 10% of the arena population, which i think is pretty good (not great or amazing, but competent). I don’t know if its still the case in the new system though.
But seriously, the last thing you want to care about is other player’s perception of your achievements. This community is insanely petty in that regard and will downplay anyone for doing absolutely anything, that’s valid all the way to Rank 1 btw.
Reason is pretty simple, while being a very uncomfortable truth. MMOs tend to attract a certain kind of people, and these people very often have self-image issues along other mental issues of varying degrees (anxiety, depression, loneliness etc.). We see examples of this constantly on these forums.
In some cases they’re going to literally project their self-worth into this game, requiring them to put down everyone else to feel better about themselves.
So yeah, the best thing to do is simply set your own goals and focus on that. You’re almost never going to get a fair view of your performances or accomplishments from others here.

If it’s a proportion of the population, which 10% would be, that would represent a very good level and not merely “competent”. Obviously, the current system isn’t proportional and what you say here might be more appropriate…
Yeah i base that from numbers from back when BGroups were a thing etc. Haven’t seen any breakdown disclosed since.
Also it varies. If someone peaks at Rival but fall back down, it doesn’t mean they’re within the top 10th percentile all the time, just that they peaked there.

Ben is good but has 0 shooting ability, which would not put him in the “3-3.2k bracket”. Better off with Jimmy Buckets!
All rating achievements are subjective. If it’s an achievement for you that you’re proud of, it’s a great achievement.
Although relative to inflation, rating doesn’t mean a whole lot rn. Everyone’s getting free rating.
I’d say it’s greatly dependant on your gear. Looking at opposing player achievements I’ve played undergeared 2700 exp teams that were easier than almost completely inexperienced pvpers with top of the line pve gear.
depends on xp of your partner imo. If they are new to pvp then you both should be proud. If he was gladiator xp playin with you, then you probably got a carry.
